Geneva Lemmons – Bedford

Geneva Lemmons, 85, of Bedford, died at 8:05 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born February 4, 1933 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Charles N. and Martha Ellen (Childers) Stevens. She married Harold K. “Duke” Taylor in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1957. She later married Robert E. Lemmons in 1972 and he preceded her in death in 1974. She was a homemaker and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bedford Eagles Lodge Aerie #654.
Survivors include a son, Steven Taylor of Bedford; a daughter, Linda Chapman of Davenport, FL; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, four sisters, Louise Stevens Jones, Lula Belle Sifers, Wilma Violet Henson and Ruby Watterson; eight brothers, Franklin, Leroy, Pete, Lonnie, Albert, Bill, and Tedrowe Stevens, and Nettie Stevens Nelson.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 24th in Beech Grove Cemetery with Pastor David Ferry officiating.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Alta Frances “Toadie” Hunsaker – Bedford

Alta Frances “Toadie” Hunsaker, 102, of Bedford, died at 1:50 pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born August 20, 1915 in Monroe Co., she was the daughter of Samuel and Lurel Bell Adams. She married Daniel S. Hunsaker and he preceded her in death in 1981. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Spending time with her grandkids was her biggest joy.
Survivors include a son, David Hunsaker, and wife, Marilyn; granddaughter, Jill Perdue and husband, Edd; grandson, Barry Hunsaker, and wife, Toni, all of Bedford; great grandchildren, Michael Hunsaker, and wife, Cassandra, Jansen Perdue, Jenna Ellingsworth, and husband, Cody; great-great grandchildren, Morgan Hunsaker and Brenna Hunsaker;
great-great grandchildren Jerzey Ellingsworth, Matthew Hunsaker, and Nicholas Hunsaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 23rd at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington with John Lee officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
