Phyllis Jean Bruton – Bedford

Phyllis Jean Bruton, 87, of Bedford went into God’s presence on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at her residence.
Born July 17, 1930 in Bloomington, IN she was the daughter of Merle and Ethel (Mitchell) Taylor. She married E.J. Bruton on June 18, 1949 and he preceded her in death October 11, 2003. They were married 54 years.
Phyllis was a co-laborer with her husband Rev. E. J. Bruton ordained with the Assemblies of God in ministry for over 35 years. Their pastorates in Indiana were in Booneville, Clinton, Mishawaka, Plymouth, Bedford and Portage. They also ministered in Springfield, MO and Sturgis, MI. Phyllis served as the church pianist/organist and coordinated the music ministry, children’s ministry, women’s ministry, Bible quiz teams and special drama events. She was also a beloved and faithful Sunday School teacher. She hosted many evangelists and missionaries as guests in their home over the years. She was currently a member of Tabernacle of Praise.
She was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking special meals for them and creating holiday memories. Phyllis loved to spend time decorating her home as well as caring for family pets and taking care of her beautiful plants and flowers.
Survivors include her two daughters Jennifer (“Ginger”) Crouch and husband Mark of Martinsville, Joni Stansbury and husband David of Springville; four grandchildren, Jesika (Crouch) Smith of Bargersville, Jamison Crouch of Cloverdale, Kyle Stansbury of Bedford, Kandace (Stansbury) Lecocq of Baltimore, MD; and three great grandchildren, Jaxton and
Jessalyn Smith of Bargersville, Saja Lecocq of Baltimore, and a fourth great grandchild due in April.
She is also survived by her beloved sister, Mary Kathryn (Taylor) Bellah of Avon, a brother-in-law Ray Roepke of Springfield, MO and a sister-in-law Mary Alice Smith of Monticello and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Southern Care Hospice for the care of their mother in her last illness.
Funeral services will be held at Tabernacle of Praise at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 24 with Pastor Gary Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow the service at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Mark Edward Wienhoff (Wray) – Overland, MO
December 30, 1962 – February 16, 2018
Mark Edward Wienhoff (Wray), 55, of Overland, MO, died at 5:15 pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Born December 30, 1962 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Charles Weinhoff and Mildred Lenora Wray. He was a truck driver.
Survivors include two sons, Joshua Ryan Owens and Matthew Logan Owens, and his mother, Mildred. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 24th at the Mundell Christian Church with Michael Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow in Mundell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, February 24th at the Mundell Christian Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
