Michael L. Hughett – Mitchell
May 6, 1952 – December 28, 2017
Michael L. Hughett, 65, of Mitchell, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017, at his residence.
Born May 6, 1952, in Lawrence County, he was he son of Theophilus and Sleta Mae (Hodges) Hughett. He married Mary McLaughlin February 23, 1974.
Michael was a mechanic and a 1970 graduate of Mitchell High School. He was a U. S.
Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of American Legion Post No. 250.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hughett of Mitchell; daughter, Melissa (Jonathan) Shawler of Pekin; son, Michael (Amelia) hughett of Orleans; grandchildren, Charity Fullen, Corey Fullen, and Mikey Hughett; brothers, Raymond Earl Hughett, Sr. of Orleans, Ronald Kenneth Hughett of Bedford
His parents preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 30, at Mitchell Cemetery
with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of
Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. Friends may call from 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Roy V. “Bud” Terrell – Owensburg
December 28, 1941 – December 27, 2017
Roy V. “Bud” Terrell, 75, of Owensburg, IN, died at 6:59 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born December 28, 1941, he was the son of Lee Roy Terrell and Caroline (Huff) Trowbridge. He married Barbara J. Hamilton in 1961 and she preceded him in death in 1991. He later married Cathy Harris in 1993 and she survives. He retired from J.L. Wilson Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy, of Owensburg; three daughters, Barb Pridemore, of Mt. Sterling, KY, Tessie May, of Bedford, and Chanity Thomas, of Owensburg; two sons, Roy V. Terrell, II, of Bedford, and Troy D. Terrell, of Paoli; nine grandchildren, B. Jeanelle Wells, of Mt. Sterling, KY, Danielle L. Pridemore, of Lexington, KY, Tasha Nicole Seaney, of Bedford, Kayla J. Allen, of Paoli, Troy D. Terrell, of Paoli, Scott D. Hignite, of Bedford, Aria Thomas, Julia Thomas, and Chance Thomas, all of Owensburg; great grandchildren, Rain and Coal Allen, Della Jean Wells; a brother, Mike Terrell, of Bedford; two sisters, Janet C. Terrell, of Greenwood and Kim Trowbridge, of Bedford; a niece, Missy Roberts; two nephews, Jason Roberts and Mike Lane; great nephews, Zach, Layton and Coby Bombrisk; great nieces, Jessica Craig, Christen Goen, Ivy Goen, Josie Craig, Megan Lane, and Meleah Lane; a brother-in- law, Michael and Susan Beavers, of Avoca.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Rodger Dale, Timmy Joe, Woodrow Richard, and James Harold Terrell; a sister, Phyllis Terrell; a nephew, Michael Lane.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with John Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday, January 2 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Francis L. Hirtz – Bedford
August 25, 1928 – December 27, 2017
Francis L. Hirtz, 89, of Bedford, died at 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at his home.
Born August 25, 1928 in Campbell, MO, he was the son of John and Alice (Greene) Hirtz. He married Marcia May Adams on November 26, 1949 and she preceded him in death on March 17, 2011. He retired from Emperial Lumber. He was a devout Catholic and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He was an avid gardener and fisherman.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores Jeanne Bowen and husband, Rick, of MO, and Janet Viner and husband, Steve, of Edmond, OK; seven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two brothers, Freddie Hirtz, of Bedford and Charles Hirtz, of Lynchburg, VA; three sisters, Veronica Camp, of St. Louis, MO, Monica Stratman, Delores McMunn, of Tecumsa, OK; a daughter-in- law, Bonnie Hirtz, of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons, John David and Joseph Allen Hirtz; five brothers, Donald, Jerome, Paul, Gregory, and Bill Hirtz.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3rd at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Dan Hirtz officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary where a rosary service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
