Arnold Dean Patton, 79, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Garden Villa, Bedford.
Born February 21, 1938, in Bedford, he was the son of William S. and Lillie Grace (Wilson) Patton.
He attended the Patton Hill Pentecostal Church and the Peerless Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are his brother-in-law, Larry McKeaigg; loving caregiver nieces, Nedra (Scott) Fleetwood, Robbin Ricketts; and nephew Shannon (Kyla) Brock, along with several other nieces and nephews, Teresa (Gary) Swenson, Denise Patton Turner, Leasa Francis, Dwight Patton, Kevin Patton, Sharon (Scott) Saunders, Kenny (Dawn) Patton, Norma (Raymond) Sullivan, Edward Parker, Janice (Tony) Earl, Reneal (Roger) Hammer, Brenda (Chop) Wilson, Kelly (Art) Nicholson, Sherry Terrell, Homer Terrell, Ricky (Sherry) Terrell, and Betty Jo Terrell; and several great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillie Patton; brothers, William Eugene Patton and Roger Patton; sisters, Barbara Parker, Peggy Terrell, Gloria Mae Brock McKeaigg, and Diana Patton.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, with Denise Patton Turner and Sister Becky Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Patton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour, Wednesday, at the funeral chapel.
Dean’s favorite thing to do was eat Hardee’s biscuits and gravy every morning and take summer trips to Kentucky to visit his lifelong cousins.

Lena L. (Billie) Covey – Kokomo

Kokomo – Lena L. (Billie) Covey, 93, of Kokomo, formerly of Bedford, died at 3:12 am on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at her residence.
Born October 1, 1924 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Lee and Beulah (Bennet) Hollars. She married Morris D. Covey Sr. on June 15, 1957 and he proceeded her in death on July 2, 1999. Billie was a full- time mother and grandmother. She attended Calvary Temple Church in Kokomo, and Oolitic Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include one son, Bud Covey and wife Dee of Kokomo; two daughters, Connie Burgess of Kokomo, and Lana Smith and husband Dave of Bedford; five grandchildren, Andy Covey, Kenny Fish, Kelly Baxter, Larry Baxter, and Tonia Wolf; several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Rosetta Baxter; one grandson, Brent Fish; four brothers, Ed, Andy, Otis, and Orville Hollars; two sisters, Margaret Flynn, and Elizabeth New; and a son-in- law, Dan Burgess.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary officiating with Pastor Dave Cornelius and Pastor Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. am until the hour of service on Thursday, December 21st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, American Diabetes Association, or the American Heart Association.

Dena Jane (Elrod) Sons, 50 passed away Friday, December 15, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
