Effie Lorene Clark, 95, of Norman, IN , died Saturday, December 09, 2017 at her residence.
Born November 30, 1922 in Jackson County, IN, she was the daughter of Claude Matthew and Sarah Lou Effie (Baker) Henderson. She married Harold Lloyd Clark on March 7, 1959 and he preceded her in death on December 20, 1999. She was a production worker for Dura in Brownstown for 16 years, retiring in 1985. She attended the Freetown Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include two daughters: Paula Henderson of Freetown, and Beth Conrad and her husband Paul of Leesville; two grandchildren: Brandon Conrad of Bloomington and Sarah Perry and her husband Stephen of Bedford.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Reverend Donovan Newport officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm on Monday, December 11th at Day & Carter Mortuary.

Jeremy Scott Clevenger – Mitchell

Jeremy Scott Clevenger, 46, of Mitchell, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born August 10, 1971, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Jack Clevenger and Connie (Welles) Clevenger Kuhbander. Jeremy was a welder and a member of Victory Church in Washington. He enjoyed nature, especially hunting and fishing.
Surviving: son, Jeremy D. Clevenger of Bloomington; mother, Connie Kuhbander of Mitchell; brothers, Joshua (Annie) Clevenger of Mitchell, Jacob Clevenger of Mitchell, Jack Clevenger of Arizona, nephews, Joshua T. Clevenger, Coby Clevenger; niece, Jane E. Clevenger
His father preceded him in death.
A service of remembrance will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, at the Jacob Finger United Methodist Church, 139 North Ninth Street, Mitchell, with Pastor Brenda L. Ludwig officiating. A luncheon and time for sharing memories will be at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the church.

Thomas Joe Strait – Mitchell
August 23, 1946 – December 8, 2017
Thomas Joe Strait, 71, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at his residence.
Born August 23, 1946, in Readstown, Wisconsin, he was the son of William E. and Marjorie (McKee) Strait. Thomas was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps.
His family includes his son, Thomas Joe Strait, Jr., of Honolulu, Hawaii; daughter, Christine J. (Anthony), of Franklin; grandchildren, Kyle Joe Strait of Bedford, T. J. Strait of Lebanon, Danielle Milton of Kentucky, Kayla Nicole Mascoe, Brooke VanArsdale; two great grandchildren
His parents and brothers, William E. Strait, Robert Ellsworth Strait, John Strait, Leon M. Strait, and Charles L. Strait, preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen with no service.
