Ian Talmadge Love, 23, of Martinsville, formerly of Bedford and North Carolina, died at 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.
Born May 27, 1994 in Chapel Hill, NC, he was the son of John E. and Maxine M (McCosh) Love. He was a closer at Burger King Restaurant in Mooresville. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in North Carolina and attended Stone City Christian Academy.
Survivors include his parents, of Four Oaks, NC; two brothers, William Love, of Greenwood and Brian Chyreck, of Martinsville; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Gwyn Love, of Dunn, NC; maternal grandparents, Alex and Carol McCosh, of Northern Ireland; two uncles, Ross Love and Alexander McCosh; four aunts, Amanda Stewart, Nicola McCord, Ruth Taylor and Stephanie Mairs.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 30th at Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca with David Zempel officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday, at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Indiana Baptist College for a scholarship in Ian Love’s name.

Catheleen Nelson – Oolitic

Catheleen Nelson, 80, of Oolitic, died at 7:19 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born December 10, 1936 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Roy and Winnie (Godsey) Cheek. She married Conrad Nelson on June 13, 1953 and he survives. She retired from the Indiana Laborers Institute in 1981 and was a member of the Oolitic Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Conrad, of Oolitic; two daughters, Connie Elaine Nelson (Terry Walden), of Bloomington, Sherri Lynn Nelson, of Jeffersonville; a son, Oman Lee Nelson (Madelyn), of Springville; grandchildren, Christopher Nelson (Lauren), Jordan Manning (Angel Haley), Austin Manning, Brady Manion, all of Bedford, Amy Hewitt (Lane), of Mitchell; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Hewitt, Alexis Nelson, Gabriel Nelson, Hadley Manning, Hattie Nelson; a sister, Rosalie Hammond, of Bedford; a brother, Dale Cheek (Brenda), of Monticello, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sandra Leigh Nelson; three sisters, Effie Grace, Nola Mae Ingle and Lola Faye Carter; two brothers, Franklin and Raymond D. Cheek.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
