Jerry Lynn Guthrie – Orleans
Jerry Lynn Guthrie, 62, of Orleans, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Indiana University Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born April 16, 1955, in Rushville, he was the son of Winfred and Esther (Dalton)
Guthrie. Jerry was a general contractor and had worked for Direct Line Communications. He loved hanging out with friends and family. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include his children, Cheyenne Raven Guthrie of Bloomington Alias Jedadiah (Danielle) Guthrie of Paoli; grandchildren, Trey Guthrie, Camren Guthrie, and Jaden Coulter; brothers, David Guthrie of Orleans, Tom Guthrie of Campbellsburg, Eddie Guthrie of Shoals; sisters, Saundra Hardin of Mitchell and Wanda Chapman of Orleans
His parents, and sisters, Sherry Warner and Darlene Richie, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Tunnelton Cemetery with Mike Dalton officiating. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
