Richard W. McIlvaine – Bedford
November 29, 1940 – June 15, 2017
Richard W. McIlvaine, 76, of Bedford, (Leesville Community) died at 4:45 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his residence.
Born November 29, 1940, he was the son of James and Adele (Mashlanka) McIlvaine. He married Lyla Ferguson on February 15, 1960. He was a carpenter for McIntyre Bros. Construction and member of Carpenters Local #1040. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Indiana State Trappers Assoc. and National Trappers Assoc.
Survivors include his wife, Lyla, of Bedford; three children, Richard J. McIlvaine and wife, Angie, of Bedford, Stormy Li and husband, Lester, of Riverside, CA, Robert L. McIlvaine and wife, Cindy, of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Kelsey E. Smith, Karson Li, Rob McIntosh, Conner McIlvaine, and Brianna McIlvaine; two brothers, James McIlvaine and wife, Patricia, and Ralph McIlvaine all of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Joe McIntosh.
A memorial mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21st at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Roger Cottengain, 65, formerly of Mitchell, passed away Wednesday, June 14, in Clearwater.

David Edward Schuley – Bedford

David Edward Schuley, 50, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born January 19, 1967, in Orange County, he was the son of Charles and Paula (Abel) Schuley. David had been employed at General Electric and was a member of the Work of God Church. He loved photography and being outdoors. David graduated from Mitchell High School in 1985.
Survivors include his parents, Charles and Paula Schuley of Bedford sister, Janet (James) Heil of Aurora, Texas nieces and nephews, Ashley Hoffman, Rachael Heil, Kinsley Heil, Ellia Hoffman, Levi Heil, Stephanie Heil, and Charles Hoffman
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 17, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Dwight Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Bryantsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
