Charles B. White – Mitchell

Charles B. White, 78, of Mitchell, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born February 27, 1939, in Huron, he was the son of Claude and Netha (Merry) White. He married Linda Lou Day July 10, 1960. Charlie was an elder at the Pleasantview Church of Christ and traveled locally to teach in area churches. He loved to volunteer, spend time in the yard, and enjoyed being with family. Charlie was a 1957 graduate of Huron High School, and avid Indiana University sports fan. For 55 years he was the owner and operator of Charlie’s Barber Shop and in 2009 he was honored by the Mitchell Chamber of Commerce as Businessman of the Year.
Survivors include his wife, Linda White of Mitchell; children, Cheryl (Mike) Highland of Milton, Georgia, Michael (Tina) White of Noblesville, Trent (Angie) White of Avon, Tricia (Jon) Riggen of Thorntown; grandchildren, Katie Highland, Devin White, Austin White, Logan White, Tyler White, Lily Riggen, Ian Riggen, and Audrey Riggen; brothers, Don White of Bedford, Ron White of Elizabethtown, Kentucky
His parents, and brothers, Byron White and Merlin “Jack” White, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Walter Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

John Wallace Bishop – Mitchell
May 22, 1943 – May 20, 2017
John Wallace Bishop, 73, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, May 20, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born May 22, 1943, in Tatum Springs, Kentucky, he was the son of Edgar Bishop and Margie (Terrell) Bishop. John loved music and singing.
Survivors include his siblings, Earl Bishop of Kentucky, Margie L. Cheatham of Paoli, Donald Dawson Bishop of Mitchell, Doris Jean Bowling of Mitchell, James Henry Bishop of Cincinnati, Ohio
His parents and siblings, William Edgar Bishop, Claude Phillip Bishop, Joseph Elmer, Bishop, Freddie Duane Bishop, Ima Katherine Jones, Mary Jane Tulayne, and Mina Joyce McCosky, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Mitchell Cemetery with Brother Jim Russell officiating.
