John Richard Kasprzycki – Bedford

John Richard Kasprzycki, 69, of Bedford, died at 9:50 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born January 15, 1948 in Jackson Co., MI, he was the son of Richard J. and Frances W. (Whedon) Kasprzycki. He married Jo Ann Cunningham on December 2, 1972 and she survives. He was employed in automotive manufacturing most of his career before joining the sales team at Bedford Ford. He was of the Catholic faith. John was Superman to his son and daughter, and a proud grandfather who enjoyed sharing life experiences with his grandchildren. He was passionate about his vehicles and was a familiar face at Stonecrest Golf Course’s driving range. John and Jo Ann enjoyed traveling, especially to historical landmarks. John never met a stranger and enjoyed making people smile with his humorous stories.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann, of Bedford; a daughter, Nicole Stanton and husband, Heath, of Springville; a son, Richie Kasprzycki and wife, Sarah, of Bedford; eleven grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Layton, Lawson, and Liam Grissom, Treyton and Breylea Stanton, Michael, Charlie, Wilson, and Jeannie Kasprzycki; his mother, Frances Kasprzycki, of MI; two sisters, Theresa Smith and husband, Jack, of MI, Jackie Stephens and Chris, of MI; a brother, Jerry Kasprzycki, of MI; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; two sisters, Suzanne Pangborn and Mary Kasprzycki; two brothers, Thomas and Michael Kasprzycki.
At his request, cremation was chosen. A funeral mass will be held at a later date
in Michigan.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers friends consider memorial contributions be made to Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services c/o Lawrence County Community Foundation or Bloomington I.U. Health Hospice House.
