Gordon Gale Fish – Bedford
July 26, 1926 – April 6, 2017
Gordon Gale Fish, 90, of Bedford, died at 4:22 a.m. on Thursday, April 06, 2017 at Westview Nursing & Rehab. Center.
Born July 26, 1926 in Bedford, he was the son of Raymond and Elizabeth (Cummings) Fish. He married Agnes Marie Wagner on June 17, 1944 and she died June 25, 2012. He was a delivery driver for Hostess Bakery for over forty years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Lana Wray and husband, Joe, Diana Sego and husband, Jerry, and Linda Olson and husband, Larry, all of Bedford; a grandson raised in the home, Sean Benham and wife, Sonya, of Chicago; three sisters, Patsy Wever, Wanda McPike and Colleen Robbins, all of Bedford; a brother, David Fish, of Bedford; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Maxine Dalton and June Roberts; a grandson, Brian Olson.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 15th at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church with Pastor David Ferry officiating. No visitation hours are scheduled.

John Leonard Wathen – Bedford

John Leonard Wathen, 88, of Bedford, died at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Garden Villa, Bedford.
Born November 5, 1928 in Morganfield, Kentucky, he was the son of John Gordon and Mary A. (Greenwell) Wathen. He married Betty Brendel on September 9, 1950 and she passed away on March 8, 2007. John was the manager of A&H Truck Line in Bedford, retiring in 1986. He then worked at Otis Golf Course Pro Shop until fully retiring in 2008. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church , Bedford, IN; Knights of Columbus Council #1166 and Assembly #1921 (4th Degree) Bedford, IN; John was an avid golfer and member of Otis Park Men’s Club, where he served as Treasurer.
Surviving are three daughters, Kathleen S. (Dennis) Foster, of Cumming, Ga, Vicki Wathen, of Bedford, Rebecca L. (Brian) Murphy, of Ooltewah, TN; two sons, James L. Wathen, of Huntsville, AL, and Michael R. Wathen, of Evansville, IN; four granddaughters, Heather A. Justen and her husband Keith, of Spring Grove, IL, Tracey White and her husband Isaac, of Ringgold, GA, Shauna L. Foster, of Stanford, IL, and Angie Rogers and her husband Adam, of Rock Springs, GA; seven great-grandchildren, Allie, Maddie, and Parker Justen; Berkley, Valla, and Elliot Rogers; and Emory White; one brother, Gordon Ray Wathen and his wife Wilford, of Nashville, TN; and two brothers-in- law Tommy Cecil, of Owensboro, KY, and Bueford Dyer, of Morganfield, KY.
He was preceded in death by wife; parents; and two sisters, Jane Marie “Mickey” Moore and Mary Louise Cecil.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford, with Father Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes. The Knights of Columbus will pray the Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
