Wendell Homer Hopper – Mitchell
Wendell Homer Hopper, 75, of Mitchell, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, at his residence.
Born August 19, 1941, in Orange County, he was the son of James Homer and Martha Ellen (Pridemore) Hopper. He married Deloris Ann Stearns September 3, 1980. Wendell was self-employed in construction.
Survivors include his wife, Deloris Hopper of Mitchell; children, Lisa Hopper, Jamie Sue Decarlo of Florida, Stormi Lynn Blake of Bedford, Wendy Deanne Hopper of Indianapolis; 13 great grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren
His parents; and siblings, Raymond Hopper, James Hopper, Fred Hopper, and LaDonna Hopper, preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen with no service.

Gordon Gale Fish – Bedford
Gordon Gale Fish, 90, of Bedford, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Westview Nursing & Rehab.

George W. Fountain – Zelma
January 13, 1930 – April 5, 2017
George W. Fountain, 87, of Zelma, died at 12:37 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at his residence.
Born January 13, 1930, in Zelma, IN, he was the son of Ervin S. and Edith (Black) Fountain. He married Wilma Laverne Kinser on June 18, 1950 and she survives. He was a farmer and North Lawrence Community School bus driver for forty-six years. He had worked as a reporter for the FSA office and attended Donica Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma, of Zelma; a son, George Michael Fountain and wife, Bonnie, of Zelma; a daughter Paula Brooking and husband, Louie, of Zelma; five grandsons, Troy and Eric Fountain, both of Zelma, Cory Fountain and wife, Cassidy, of Turkey, Kevin W. Brooking and wife, Robin, of Ellettsville, Nathan Brooking and wife, Kara, of Pickens, SC; seven great grandchildren, Hannah Fountain, Billy Fountain, Ella Fountain, Emma Fountain, Chloe Fountain, Benjamin Fountain and Kinsley Brooking; one great great granddaughter, Sadie Hollar; a sister, Marjorie Belle Whitted, of Heltonville; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in- law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Billy Fountain and a brother, Ervin Fountain, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 10th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Nouhad Melki officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Jackson County. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 9th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
