Connie Blackwell, 69, of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday, December 27, at her residence.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Edna M. “Peggy” Terrell – Bedford
April 22, 1921 – December 27, 2016
Edna M. “Peggy” Terrell, 95, of Bedford, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born April 22, 1921 in Muncie, IN, she was the daughter of Harry and Trula Chase Merry Beasley. She married Floyd T. Terrell on May 10, 1937 and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of the Spice Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, James S. Terrell and wife, Pam, and Jack Terrell and wife, Brenda, all of Bedford; three grandchildren, Chris S. Terrell and wife, Ronetta, Keven Terrell and Jason Terrell; four great grandchildren, Carrie B. Terrell, Samantha J. Terrell, Kirsten M. Terrell and Spencer B. Terrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Jerry and Gene Terrell and a grandson, J. Chris Terrell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 31st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kenny Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Port Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until the hour of service on Saturday, December 31st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Edna M. Wright – Bedford

Edna M. Wright, 69, of Bedford died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 10, 1947 in Lawrence County she was the daughter of Robert C. and Joy Helen (Brock) Hacker. She married Sam Wright on May 6, 1989 and he survives. She worked as a line worker at RCA retiring after 33 ½ years and was an event security worker at Indiana University over 30 years. She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Sam of Bedford; her daughter: Joy Denise Taylor, of Bedford; her son: William Lewis Howard, II, of Bloomington; a step-son, Ronald Wright, of Oolitic; son-in- law, Brian Thompson, of Bloomington; a granddaughter, Christina Taylor; two grandsons, Ashton and Maxwell Thompson; a sister, Peggy Doane and husband, Jonnie, of Bedford; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Vicki Parker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 31st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in the Silverville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Friday, December 30th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the White River Humane Society.
