William Michael “Mike” Conley – Mitchell

William Michael “Mike” Conley, 47, of Mitchell, passed away at 8:42 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born November 23, 1968, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, he was the son William H. and Joyce (Baker) Conley.
He was employed as a mechanic at Hancock Trucking and was a 1987 graduate of Mitchell High School. Mike enjoyed being and doing things outside and he loved riding his Mini-chopper and spending time with his dogs. He will be greatly missed by his two pit bulls–Jazmine and Bucky.
Survivors include his children, Desiree (RD) Lake of Bedford, Brian Conley of Shoals, Kayla Conley of Shoals; parents, Jake and Joyce Mounce of Mitchell, William H. Conley of Mitchell; grandchildren, Jordan and Shalee Lake; siblings, Chris Conley of Mitchell, Dennis (Julie) Mounce of Bedford, Julie (Tony) Massey of Bedford, Cheryl (Gary Kirk) See of Mitchell; nephews, Chris and Gage Conley
His grandparents, Joe and Mildred Baker and Laura Boone, preceded him in death.

Loland Troutman – Shoals
Loland Troutman, 83, of Shoals, passes away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 5:25 a.m. at Loogootee Nursing Center.
Born March 30, 1933 in Martin County, Indiana, he was th son of John and Mamie (Williams) Troutman. Loland married Boonie Cobb on August 23, 1953. He was a ife-long member of the Hindostan United Methodist Church, where he also served as sexton of the cemetery. He owned and operated Troutman Farms since 1952 and retired from White River Co-Op. Mr. Troutman graduated from Shoals High School and completed extension courses at Purdue University.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Troutman, of Shoals; two daughters Donna S. and husband Robin Haulk, of Shoals and Barbara A. and her husband Richard Jewell, of Orleans; three sons Kenneth R. and wife Hope Troutman, of Martinsville, Michael W. and wife Cathy Troutman, of Shoals and David Chris and wife Alisha Troutman, of Shoals; grandchildren Matthew Haulk, Jonathan Haulk, Daniel Haulk, Amanda Oakman, Sarah Troutman, Travis Troutman, Joe Troutman, Lisa Baker, Phillip Troutman, Meagan Jewell and Gabrielle Jewell; step-grandchildren Josh Schoolcraft, Jessica Schoolcraft, Jenny Jewell and Joey Jewell; great grandchildren, Case Haulk, Kinze Haulk, Hudson Haulk, Hadley Haulk, Daxton Haulk, Wesley Troutman, Darion Oakman, Dalton Oakman, Aydan Haulk and Oakley Jewell; one step-great grandchild Auroravi Schoolcraft; one brother Lee Troutman, of French Lick; sister Doris (Troutman) Chattin, of Noblesville.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jessica Troutman; step-granddaughter Lillian Schoolcraft; two sisters Virginia Weller, Ruth Powell and three brothers Malcom, John Jr. and Winston Troutman.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. The funeral will be Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hindostan United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Matthew Allen Gater – Bedford

Matthew Allen Gater, 40, of Bedford, passed away at 2:44 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born in Bedford, he was the son of Maurice A. and Linda L. (Calloway) Gater. He was previously employed at Hardees and was a 1994 graduate of Mitchell High School. He loved his little girl, and she was crazy about her daddy.
Survivors include his daughter, Madison Gater of Bedford; mother, Linda L. Davis of Mitchell; father, Maurice (Anita) Gater of Bloomington; mother of his daughter, Barbara Brown of Bedford; sisters, Jennifer E. (Steve A.) Campbell of Salem, Melissa A. (Alan C.) Pinney of Orleans; step brothers, Brian (Cindy) Davis of Springville, Bryan (Heidi) Robertson; step sisters, Dana (Wallace) Bohall of Solsberry, Dawn (James) Herbst of Bedford, Hollie (Gordon) Davis-Brock of Wadesville
His stepfather, Jim Davis; grandparents, Merrill and Mary Gater and Donald and Gladys Calloway; and cousins, David Gater, Chris Gater, and Aaron Gater preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Steve Terry officiating. Friends may call from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Andrew Joseph DeYoung – Bedford
Andrew Joseph DeYoung, 28, pf Bedford, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at his residence.
Born September 10, 1987, in Portsmouth, Virginia, he was the son of Joseph Ralph and Doreena Lee (Jenkins) DeYoung.
Andrew was formerly employed at the Bloomington Meadows Hospital and attended City Church in Bloomington.
Survivors include his mother, Doreena Lee (Russell) Warner, Loretto, Tennessee; father, Joseph Ralph DeYoung, Valparaiso; fiancée, Audreyanna Lagenour, Bedford; sisters, Stephanie DeYoung, Valparaiso, Kristan DeYoung, Florence, Alabama; several nieces and nephews
Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, August 4, at the East Oolitic Community Center with Millard Jones officiating.

Dennis L. Briscoe – Ellettsville

Dennis L. Briscoe, 54, of Ellettsville, passed away Tuesday evening, July 26, 2016, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 4, 1962, in Bedford, he was the son of Leroy and Jacqueline (Kern) Briscoe. At the age of five months, he was adopted by Robert and June (Tirey) Briscoe. Dennis attended Grandview Elementary School, Batchelor Middle School, graduated from Bloomington North High School in 1980 and attended Ivy Tech. He was employed at Naval Surface Warfare Center–Crane.
Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Briscoe, Ellettsville; parents, Robert and June Briscoe of Bloomington, Leroy and Shirley Briscoe of Mitchell; sisters, Judy Briscoe of Bloomington, Diana (Larry) Caudell of Mitchell, Denise (Mark) Riker of Bedford, Debbie Terrell of Bedford
His mother preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Monday, August 1, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Mitchell with Pastor Philip Barker officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
