Dorothy L. (Scofield) Gates – Bedford
May 29, 1924 – May 9, 2016
Dorothy L. (Scofield) Gates, 91, of Bedford, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born May 29, 1924, in Bedford, she was the daughter of George Scofield and Nancy (Hall) Scofield.
She married Ralph E. “Bud” Gates on April 30, 1943; he died June 12, 1986. She was a graduate of Bedford High School with the class of 1942; had worked at Bell Telephone and Bell Cleaners, both in Bedford and was a homemaker. She had also sold Avon Products. Dorothy was raised in the Dive Christian Church and later joined St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford. She was a member of the Ladies of Columbus, a volunteer with Dunn Memorial Hospital Pink Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the St. Vincent Altar Society, a volunteer with the St. Vincent De Paul Society Thrift Store and worked several years as a caregiver.
Surviving are two sons, Frederick (Kathy) Gates, North Charleston, SC and Timothy (Teri) Gates, Bedford; five daughters, Dolores (Gordon) Mundy, Linda (Randy) Quackenbush, Kathy (David) Thorne and Diana (Michael) Lawson, all of Bedford and Debbie (Paul) Mount, of Bloomington; 14 grandchildren, Justin Mundy, Bedford, Nathan (Amanda) Mundy, Ft. Wayne, Jennifer Gates, Boston, MA, Sarah Gates Chicago,IL, Lisa (Jack) Blackman, Martinsville, Angi (David) Couch, Bedford, Nicholas (Anna) Gates, Bedford, Jack Quackenbush, Bedford, Travis (Amber) Thorne, Bedford, Laura Thorne, Bedford, Ryann Christy, Gosport, Jodi Ritter, Bloomington, Heather Parker, Indianapolis and Kyle (Christina) Parker, Bloomington; 17 Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband, two sisters, Eva Rio and Florence Matlock and three brothers, Alva, Clifford and Floyd Scofield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Fr. Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, from 3 p.m. till 8 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be considered to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Delmer “Del” L. Morrow – Bedford

Delmer “Del” L. Morrow, 63, of Bedford, died at 9:06 am on Monday, May 9, 2016 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born December 19, 1952 in Delta, KY, he was the son of Eulas Morrow and Chloa Del (Kidd) Morrow. He married Angela Faye Kern on February 22, 1997 and she survives. He was an entrepreneur in Bedford and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Faye, of Bedford; his mother, Chloa Del Morrow, of Oolitic; three daughters, Megan DelFaye Morrow, of Bedford, Kellie Del Morrow, of Paducah, KY, and Kimberly Ann Morrow, of Somerset, KY; a son, Christopher Elijah Wade Morrow and wife, Alesha, of Bedford; two grandchildren, Kelia Dakota Morrow and Christopher Xavier Morrow; two great grandchildren, Ezekiel Dakota Lee Morrow and Adrial Morrow; two brothers, Dexter Eugene Morrow, of Oolitic and Michael Kenneth Morrow, of Lawrenceburg, KY; a sister, Carolyn Ann Morrow, of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eulas; a brother, Darrell Wayne Morrow; a sister, Lucinda Kay Morrow Horne and a nephew, Josh Tedley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 13 th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter
Mortuary with Danny Goens and Bob Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery West where military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 th and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday, May 13 th at the Day & CarterMortuary.

Philip D. Robertson – Bedford
February 6, 1948 – May 9, 2016
Philip D. Robertson, 68, of Bedford, died at 1:11 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born February 6, 1948, in Bedford, he was the son of John D. and Betty (McGinnis) Robertson. Phil graduated from Bedford High School in 1966, Dartmouth College in 1970, and earned his MBA from Stanford University. He worked as a CFO for several companies which include Arco, Bee Line, and Union Pacific Railroad. In later years he worked as a business consultant and was an entrepreneur and founder of Bravo Youth Sports.
Survivors include his sister, Susan Robertson Sargent, of Bedford; three daughters, Hova Woods and husband, Jeff and their two children, Max and Lola, of Bloomington, Sarah Risen-Robertson, of New York, NY and Lindsay Rubin and husband, Brett, of New Orleans, LA. Phil was married twice, first to Susan D. Risen, of Bloomington, IN and the mother of Hova and Sarah, then to Kay LaGrange, of O’Fallon, IL, the mother of Lindsay. They both survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 13th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Kay Collins officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the hour of service on Friday, May 13th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
