Janet Kay (Ward) Stanger, 79, of Mitchell, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at her residence.
Born August 27, 1936, in Marion Co., IN, she was the daughter of Carl and Dorothy (Rudicel) Ward.
She married Carl S. Stanger on Nov. 17, 1956; and he survives. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Carl S. Stanger; four sons, Randy (Linda) Stanger, Param Stanger, Ram Stanger and Jacob Ezra Stanger; four daughters, Carla (John) Spurgeon, Leah (Bob) Reynolds, Dawn (Roger) Bolden and Jackie Pierson; sixteen grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; two step-daughters, Vicky O’Hara and Audrey Porter; one sister, Mary Kivett; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and two sisters, one of which was her twin.
Services will be held Friday, April 15, 2016, at Padanaram. Burial will be in Holy Ground Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford.

Clara Annetta “Net” Woodward – Bedford

Clara Annetta “Net” Woodward, 96, of Bedford, died at 9:45 am on Friday, April 8, 2016 at her residence.
Born July 11, 1919 in the home she had lived in all her life. She was the daughter of James A. and Lou Etta (Taylor) Whitted. She was a member of the Leatherwood Christian Church and a past member of the Leatherwood Ludeans.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra L. “Sandy” Hunter of Bedford and one grandson, Evan J. Hunter of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. “Bob” Woodward; one sister, Mary Alice (Whitted) Snyder and one brother, Harry Whitted.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Sherman Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. on Tuesday until the hour of service at 1:30 p.m.
