Robert Wayne Sallee – Bedford

Robert Wayne Sallee, 89, of Bedford, died at 6:26 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Johnson Christian Village, Bedford.
Born June 18, 1926, he was the son of Clifford and Lorene (Starr) Sallee. He married Marjorie Covey, who preceded him in death in May, 2005. Robert attended Tunnelton High School; he owned Publick’s Auto Parts, Bedford; he attended the Central Church of Christ, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, WW-2 and was a member of both the American Legion, Gillen Post #33, Bedford and of the Masonic Lodge F&AM #14, Bedford. He enjoyed weekend dances and the Mitchell Senior Citizens Club.
Surviving are one son, Troy (Patty Burgi) Sallee; one daughter, Connie Faubion; Grandchildren Kelly (Jonathon) George, Tracy (John) Williams and Jay (Lora) Faubion; Great Grandchildren Hannah George, Graham George, Mason George, Liza (A.J.) Gouty, Margee Williams, Katie Burton, Sidney Faubion, Abby Hargis and Piper Hargis; one great great grandchild Grey Lynn Gouty; one brother, Dick (Carol) Sallee and one sister, June Waldon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marjorie, one brother Jack Sallee, and one son-in-law Robert Faubion.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with John Crane officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Military Rites will be accorded at the grave by members of American Legion Gillen Post #33, Bedford.
