Millie Charlene (Herald) Smith – Mitchell
Millie Charlene (Herald) Smith, 64, passed away at 9:24 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born May 2, 1951, in Ohio, she was the daughter of James Smith and Tilda (Cook) Herald.
Survivors include her siblings, Cindy Herald, Springville, Jerry Herald, Mitchell, Tom Herald, Alabama, Nancy Conley, Mitchell; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Her parents and brother, John Allen Herald, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, September 21, at Mitchell Cemetery with Sister Becky Ryan officiating.

Dennis R. Griffith – Mitchell
August 24, 1952-September 17, 2015
Dennis R. Griffith, 63, of Mitchell, passed away at 1:20 pm on Thursday, September 17, 2015 with his family surrounding him after 5 ½ years of battling cancer.
He was born August 24, 1952 to Hugh Griffith Jr. and Geneva (McClain) Griffith. He moved to Bedford in 1966 with his parents to relocate with General Motors. He graduated from Bedford High School with the class of 1970. He spent six years with the Indiana National Guard. Dennis retired from General Motors in 2008 with 36 years of service as a tool and die welder. He was member of the Hillcrest Christian Church and the UAW local #440. He was a past master of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14, a member of the Bedford York Rite Chapter, and the Scottish Rite member of Indianapolis, and was a 32nd degree Mason.
Dennis was a man of many talents and a very skilled carpenter and welder. One of the jobs he was most proud of was an elevator he built from scratch for his in-laws, Opal and Lenna Trueblood so they could remain in their home of 63 years.
He loved his farm and Angus cows. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his grandkids on the farm. He was so thankful to have so many good friends, but appreciated his trusted and loyal friend Carey Wood.
He married Suellen Trueblood in December of 1971 and she survives. They shared 43 wonderful years together.
He is survived by his devoted wife and loving wife Suellen; one son, Ryan Griffith of Bedford; one daughter Allyson Flook and her husband Derek of Fishers; one granddaughter Lauren Griffth of Mitchell; two grandsons: Maddux and Hendrix Flook both of Fishers; his mother, Geneva Griffith; one brother, Larry Griffith and his wife Linda of Hot Springs Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his father Hugh Griffith Jr., maternal grandparents: Burton and Edith (Roper) McClain, paternal grandparents: Hugh Griffith Sr. and Josie (Glenn) Griffith.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 21st at the Hillcrest Christian Church with Pastor Mark Fugate and Pastor Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 10 a.m. until the
hour of service Monday at the Hillcrest Christian Church. A Masonic service will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Sunday. Memorial contributions can be made to Hillcrest Christian Church.
