Mary H. Rosenberger, 99, of Bedford, passed away at 3:08 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2015, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
John L. Bailey – Mitchell
John L. Bailey, 87, MItchell,passed away at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born September 9, 1928, in Bedford, he was the son of Orville Estel and Beatrice Elva (Nicholson) Bailey and attended Bedford schools. He married Sharon Lavonne Hall April 9, 1949.
John worked in construction and retired from Carpenter Body Works. He loved all sports and tending to a large yard. He was a member of Carters Creek Christian Church, and loved attending services there as long as he was able to do so.
Survivors include his wife, Lavonne Bailey, Mitchell; children, Judy (Paul) Gathard, Indianapolis; Tom (Norma) Bailey, Mitchell; David (Darlene) Bailey, Orleans; Larry (Patti) Bailey, Bloomington; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Crumrin, Terre Haute;
His parents; sister, Rosanna Delpha; and infant brother, Dale, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, at Carters Creek Christian Church with Brother Phil McDonald and Brother Darrin Chastain officiating. Burial will be in Talbott Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Chastain Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the church.
