Jerry D. Burton – Mitchell
Jerry D. Burton, 66, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 10:31 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born October 17, 1948, in Rosiclare, Illinois, he was the son of Charles Dorman and Lois Mae (Harris) Burton. He was employed at Carlisle Brake & Friction 33 years and was a 1967 graduate of Bedford High School.
Survivors include his brother James Allan Burton,of Springville
His parents preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen with burial at a later date in Illinois.

Florence Rachel Byers – Bedford
Florence Rachel Byers, 94, of Bedford, died Wednesday, April 01, 2015 at her residence.
Born August 12, 1920 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Charles and Nancy (Frazier) Evans. She married Carl Byers on March 29, 1941 and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2013. She retired from NWSC Crane and had worked at J. C. Penney. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield and attended the First Baptist Church in Bedford.
Survivors include three daughters, Becky Schick and husband, William, of Bloomington, Sally Dyke and husband, Daniel, of Bedford, Beth Maass of Columbus; grandchildren, Jennifer Abrams and husband, Malcolm, John Schick and wife, Brenda, Carla Schick, Jessica Mackey and husband, Craig, Jason Dyke, Rachel O’Haver and husband, Tyson and Stephen Maass; a son-in-law, Mark Mullins of Bloomfield and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Deborah Byers; four brothers, Noah, Morris, Wilbur and Charles Evans; three sisters, Nova Allen, Alma Ashley and June Underwood.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am, on Saturday April 4th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 7 pm on Friday, April 3rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
