Richard George Lawrence Jr. – Williams

Richard George Lawrence, Jr., 64, of Williams passed away at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at his residence.
Born November 11, 1950, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Richard George and Penny Fern (Shoemaker) Lawrence, Sr. He married Gerry Ann Lucas April 1, 1991. He was a truck driver. Richard was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of American Legion Post No. 250.
Survivors include his wife, Gerry Lawrence, Williams; children, Sheila Jo Brinson, Poland, Monica Sue Lawrence, Indianapolis, Laura Katherine Lawrence, Indianapolis, Richard Lawrence III, Indianapolis, William Profitt, Indianapolis, Nicole Welch, Indianapolis, Christopher Welch, Bedford; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Slayman, Martinsville, Brenda Cook, Beech Grove
His parents and brother, Kenneth Breedlove, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Port William Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday at Haverly Funeral Chapel.
Michael (Joe) Deckard – Bedford

Michael (Joe) Deckard, 50, of Bedford was called home on Monday, March 9, 2015.Born February 20, 1965 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Eugene (Gene) and Linda Deckard. He was self-employed and an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of Bedford; a daughter, Tiffany Deckard of Orleans; two grandchildren, Tyson and Alicia, of Orleans; a sister, Becky (Deckard) Tumey and husband, Scott of Bedford; a nephew, Jeremy Tumey of Bedford; grandmother, Berneice Deckard of Bedford; aunts, Brenda (Deckard) England and husband, Roger of Bedford and Clara Huddleston of Norman; uncles, Richard Hilderbrand of Norman, Mike Hilderbrand of Arkansas and Larry Deckard and wife, Sandra of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandfather, Glenn Deckard; maternal grandparents, Malcom and Anna Hilderbrand and his best friend, his dog, Buddy Joe Deckard.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 14th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Tom Turpin officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 13th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Ermy Bartlett – Bedford
Ermy Bartlett, 89, of Bedford, died at 7:35 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation, Bedford.
Born July 11, 1925, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Ermy and Esta (Smith) Bartlett. He attended Needmore High School from which he was drafted into the U.S. Army during WWII. After returning home he started his career as a journeyman/planerman in the local limestone industry and later was in insurance sales as an independent agent, owning Bartlett Insurance, Bedford. He was a member of Dive Christian Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Brenda (Woodrow) Wagoner, Mitchell; one son, Stephen (Lois) Bartlett, Williams; three grandchildren, Laura (Michael) Williams, Franklin, IN, Aaron (Kristina) Wagoner, Springville, and Katelin Wagoner, Anderson; two great grandchildren, Adelyn Macey Williams and Eloise June Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bernard, Robert and Elbert “Bart” Bartlett; and three sisters, Oweeteh Mitchell, Imogene “Jane” Blevins, and Blanche “Margie” Deckard.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, with Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bedford. Friends may call on Friday, form 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour, at the funeral home. Military Rites will be accorded at the grave by members of American Legion, Gillen Post #33, Bedford.
Memorial contributions may be considered to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Dive Children’s Christmas Fund.
