Hope Jonell Foddrill – Bedford

Hope Jonell Foddrill, 80, of Bedford, went to be home with her Lord and Savior at 7:18 a.m., on Sunday, December 14, 2014. Born January 14, 1934, she was the daughter of Harry and Mary Franklin. She married Robert D. Foddrill on May 29, 1953. She retired from Stone City Products. She loved going to church and being with her family and was a member of Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include; one daughter, Debra Miller and husband Mark of Oolitic; one son, Dale Foddrill of Mitchell; grandchildren, Nathan Foddrill, Zachary Foddrill and wife, Jessica, Vanessa Miller Ratliff and husband, Jason, Savannah Foddrill; six great grandchildren, Matthew, Hailey, Landon, Kloey, Alicia and Brianna Foddrill all of Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert; and three brothers, Maurice, David and Opal Franklin.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16th at the Hilltop Pentecostal Church in Avoca. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17th at the Hilltop Pentecostal Church with Bro. Bruce Roberts and Bro. Dallas Lakes officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca.

Emma R. Clem – Orleans
Emma R. Clem, 83, of Orleans, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014, at her residence.
Born June 6, 1931, in Springfield, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Otis and Audrey (Terrell) Dean. She married Charles Stroud March 15, 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1990. Her second marriage was to Fred Clem February 13, 1998. She retired from the Indiana Handle Company in Paoli with 25 years of service. Emma was a member of the Mitchell Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Clem, Orleans; children, Paul Stroud, Orleans, Tonya Jones, Paoli, Allen Stroud, St. Cloud, Florida; 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings, Lois Gilliatt, Westfield,
Nancy Ford, Louisville, Kentucky, Faye Thomas, Louisville, Kentucky, Inez Burns, Louisville, Kentucky, Cecilia Morris, Louisville, Kentucky, Joseph Dean, Louisville, Kentucky, Bill Dean, Louisville, Kentucky.
Her parents; husband, Charles Stroud; and brother, Garth Dean, preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Cremation will follow. A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date at the Mitchell Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
