John Wesley Buker – Bedford
John Wesley Buker, 91, of Bedford, died at 12:53 pm on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at University Heights and Living Center in Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Day & Carter Mortuary.
Emma Clem – Orleans
Emma Clem, 83, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at her residence.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Cremation will follow.
A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date at the Mitchell Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Bertha June (Craft) Hembree – Shoals
Bertha June (Craft) Hembree, 70, of Shoals passed away on Wednesday, at 1:52 p.m. at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
One of 14 children, she was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky to Tandy and Susie (Lucas) Craft on June 20, 1944. She worked at Perfect Fit in Loogootee and a Medco-General Care for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Herbert Hembree, of Shoals; children Linda A. Evans-Dillon of Shoals, Pamela L. Shultz, of Indianapolis, Clovis D. Venters, of Shoals, Roger Hembree, of Loogootee, Barbara Erdman, of Spring Hill, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, sisters Sara Faye Terry, of Shoals and brothers David and Denver Craft, f Shaols and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. today at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery following cremation.
Frances Caroline Fannon – Franklin
Frances Caroline Fannon, 80, passed away at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the Franklin United Methodist Community.
Born June 30, 1934, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Raymond and Louise (Fewell) Crafton. She married William Fannon and he preceded her in death. Frances was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her children, Raymond Leroy Taylor, Indianapolis, Roger Taylor, Franklin, Vicki Terrell, Mitchell, Sheila Carmichael, North Vernon, Danny Taylor, Franklin, Tim Taylor, Franklin; 22 grandchildren and several great grandchildren
Her parents; husband; son, Duane Taylor; a grandson and granddaughter; and siblings, Johnny Crafton and Debbie Coner, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, December 15, at Mitchell Cemetery with Reverend Ronnie Frost, Jr. officiating. Friends may call from Noon until 1:45 p.m. on Monday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
