David R. Jones, Sr. – Bedford
David R. Jones, Sr., 68, of Bedford, passed away at 12:25 a.m., Thursday at I.U. Health, Bedford.
Born September 27, 1946 in Bedford, he was the son of Raymond O. and Lois Jean (Pemberton) Jones. He attended Oolitic High School. He was a member of the Medora Christian Church. He was a retired truck driver.
Surviving are one son David R. Jones, Jr., of Oolitic; brothers and sisters, Helen (Charlie) Hoopingarner, of Bedford, Roy D. Jones, Sr. (Debra), of Springville, and Janie J. (Dick) Johnson, of East Oolitic; one granddaughter, Ashley N. Jones, of Oolitic; former wife Debra (Chastain) Davis, of Medora, whom he married on April 9, 1969; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce Ann Wade.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Bro. Stan Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Leatherwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday, Noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Glen Bauser, Sr., 65, of Springville, died at 9 pm on Thursday, October 30th at his residence.

Martha Davidson – Mitchell
Martha Davidson, 67, of Mitchell, passed away at 9 p.m. Thursday, October 30, at her residence.

Keri R. Umphress Smith – Bedford
Keri R. Umphress Smith, 44, of Bedford, died at 2:38 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a lengthy illness.
Born August 16, 1970 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Wayne Umphress and Deratha “Dee” (McClintock) Smith.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Dee Smith and husband, Jerald, of Utica, KY; her father, Wayne Umphress and wife,
Mary, of Bedford; a daughter, Ceara Smith of Philpot, KY; a son, Chance Smith of Utica, KY; a granddaughter, Allie
Raymer; a brother, Cody Umphress of Bloomington, IN; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jamie Umphress.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with John Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Spice Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 am
until the hour of service on Saturday, November 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
