Arnold Williamson – Bedford
Arnold Williamson, 87, of Bedford, died at 6:39 am on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at his residence.
Arrangements are pending at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Douglas “Doug” Mapes – Bedford
Douglas “Doug” Mapes, 59, of Bedford, died October 4, 2014.
A celebration of life will be held on October 18, 2014 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Otis Park Shelter House, on the hill.
Wyman Dale Chenault – Bedford
Wyman Dale Chenault, 73, of Bedford, died September 12, 2014.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Sunday October 19, 2014 at 2 p.m.at Breckenridge Cemetery in Bedford
Judith Anne Bliven – Bedford
Judith Anne Bliven, 70, of Bedford, died at 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at I.U. Health Partners, Methodist Campus in Indianapolis.
Born July 17, 1944, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Lowell and Gloria (Waters) Williams. She lived in various cities and states throughout her childhood, primarily Mena, AR before settling in Quincy, IL with her parents.
She married David Bliven and he preceded her in death. Judy was a homemaker and former employee of Gardner-
Denver, Inc. in Quincy, IL. Judy loved dogs, reading, watching movies and doing wordsearch and crossword puzzles. She was a loving and caring individual who valued her family and friends and was still in close contact with lifelong friends. She donated to many charities and spent a lot of self-reflection time with the Lord.
Survivors include two sons, Amir Saery and wife, Jean, of McHenry,IL and Timothy Bliven and wife, Jaime, of Bedford; five grandchildren, Austin Courtois, Michael Ball, David Bliven, Elizabeth Saery and Alex Saery; a brother, Douglas K. Williams and wife, Beverly, of Bay Minette, AL; nieces and nephew, Angela Bryars, Heather Sizemore and Preston Williams.
Funeral services will not be held as the family had decided to honor her in a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Red Cross or to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Karen Joy Brown – Bedford
Karen Joy Brown, 77, of Bedford, died at 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at her residence.
Born August 27, 1937, in Avoca, IN, she was the daughter of Tip Jefferson Mills and Effie Mae (Swafford) Mills.
She married Charles William Brown on November 22, 1953; he died February 5, 2006.
She had worked as a Medical Assistant at Bedford Regional Medical Center from 1977 until 1998 and was retired.
Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl (Vernon) Edwards, Bedford and two sons, Charles (Joyce) Brown, Bloomington and Kyle (Amy) Brown, Bedford; eight grandchildren, Tiffany (Matt) Maddox, Chad Brown, Brittany Edwards, Haley Brown, Delvon Wilson, Kyndall Brown, Klayton Brown, Abbey Brown and Brylee Brown; five great grandchildren, Keaton, Kailee, Braxton, Jasper and Corbin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Marie Mills and Janice Beedie; four brothers, Frank, Willie, Garvin and Jan Mills.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2014, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Bro. Marty Speer officiating. Entombment will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be considered to Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services.
