Michael C. Elliott – Bedford
Michael C. Elliott, 62, of Bedford, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospice House.
Born May 26, 1952, in Bedford, he was the son of Jack and Leona (Reynolds) Elliott. He married Marcella Jo Russell September 29, 1979. He was a graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1973. Mike retired from Naval Weapons Support Center–Crane Division. Following retirement he worked various jobs, most recently for Lawrence County Solid Waste. Mike had many friends, a great sense of humor and a love for life. His strong faith helped him overcome many obstacles throughout his life. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Marcella Jo Elliott, Bedford; treasured dog, “Baby Girl”; sisters, Wanda (Stephen) Sanders, Bedford, Sandra (Tom) Bishop, Bedford; nephews, Phil (Lydia) Sanders, Chris Sanders, Roger Bishop, Brad Bishop
His parents preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the White River Humane Society.

James Caraway – Bedford
James Caraway, 77, of Bedford, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
James P. Farrell – Bedford
James Farrell, 86, of Bedford, died at 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born September 9, 1928 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of John Joseph and Bertha (Drake) Farrell Sr. He married Mary J. Stephens on June 3, 1978 and she passed away on December 7, 2005. He was retired as a construction inspector for Crane after twenty two years. James was a graduate of Bedford High School class of 1946. He served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army, a member of the Mitchell American Legion Post #250 and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Surviving are one brother, Michael (Pat) Farrell; four sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Bullock, Mary Jo (Ralph) Cannedy, Kathleen “Kitty” (George) Zink and Sheila (Dick) Brown; three step-daughters, Vicki Lawson, Kelly Rudd and Cindy Endris. Along with several nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother Jack.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford, with Fr. Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Friday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.

Charles Henry Boone – Tillamook, Oregon
Charles Henry Boone, 73, formerly of Mitchell, passed away September 14, 2014, in Kerrville, Texas.
He was born July 2, 1941, in Lawrence County to Herbert and Lillian M. (McIntire) Boone. He married Nancy Johnson and she preceded him in death February 7, 2002. He was an accountant and a 1959 graduate of Mitchell High School. Charles was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brothers, Robert Boone and Kenny Boone.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 4, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
