Anna Turner – Bedford
Anna Turner, 83, of Bedford, died Sunday, August 17th at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. Arrangements are pending at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Wilma Jean Watson – Bloomington
Wilma Jean Watson, 89, of Bloomington died at 12:35pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 1, 1925 in Brown County, IN she was the daughter of John W. and Bertha Mae (Griffin) Hyde. She married Howard Franklin “Frank” Watson and he preceded her in death.
She had worked for Indiana University as a housekeeper in the Forrest Dorm. She attended the Guthrie Christian Church.
Survivors include her daughter Nancy Scott of Clearwater, FL; five grandchildren: Timothy Scott Fields, Lora Kay Smith, Darren Howard Fields, Christopher Patrick Fields, and Amber Watson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Gary Frank Watson, and eight brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19th at Hayes Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Mack W. Banks – Bedford
Mack W. Banks, 86, of Bedford died at 6:40 pm on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the White River Lodge.
Born November 6, 1927 in Springville, IN he was the son of
Frank and Lorene (Greer) Banks. He married Ameila Ramsey on May 2, 1967 and she survives. He was a retired bus driver and maintenance worker for the North Lawrence Community Schools. He attended Silverville Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his wife Amelia of Bedford; six sons: Thomas Chumley and his wife Wanda of Radcliff, KY, Douglas Chumley and his wife Cheryl of Sanford, VA, Curt Chumley of Seymour, David Wayne Banks and his fiancé Missy of Bedford, Mack Banks, Jr. of Bedford, and Daniel Banks and his fiancé Jane of Bedford; one daughter: Catherine Lynn Brown and her husband Robert of Bedford; several grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother: Chet Banks and his wife Patty of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers: Richard “Bill” Banks, Franklin Banks, Jim Banks, John Banks, Roger Banks, and three in infancy, one sister, Wanda Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in the Springville West Cemetery where military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion and D.A.V. Chapter #2. Visitation will be from 4 pm. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
