Paul William Scoggan – Bedford
Paul William Scoggan age 85 of Bedford, passed away at 4 a.m. on Friday July 18, 2014 at his home. Paul was known to friends as “Bill” Scoggan. He graduated from Shawswick High School and immediately volunteered for the U.S. Air Force and served the Aeronautical Chart & Maps. He was made a Supervisor of Aerial Photography and Research at the Pentagon. He was promoted to Defense Intelligence Agency from 1964-1981.
He married Nita Witt in 1957 and has had a happy marriage, raising two sons, for 58 years. God has given us opportunities for ministry at the Pentagon for 25 years teaching the Bible at lunch. We were invited to start a
Bible class at the White House for 15 years. Bill always said” It has been a wonderful life”
He is survived by his wife Nita Scoggan, two sons, Lew and Steve Whitt; brothers John, Jerry, Kenny, and sisters Shirley Fish and Betty Knight.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Steve Scoggan, and brother Claud Scoggan.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday July 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. at New
Life Baptist Church at 3657 Tunnelton Road in Bedford, burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens with military rites by the Bedford American Legion Post #33. Friends may call on Sunday July 20, 2014 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the Youth Ministries at New Life Baptist Church at 3657 Tunnelton Road Bedford, In 47421.

Anna M. Fisher – Bedford
Anna M. Fisher, 71, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 4 p.m. at University of Louisville Hospital.
She was born in Lawrence County on December 1, 1942 to Othel E. & Phyllis A. (Brown) Caraway. Anna married Glen Fisher on November 9, 1963 and he preceded her in death on December 9, 2009. Anna attended school at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic School, Williams and Fayetteville High School. She had worked at RCA & GE in Bloomington, she was a loving wife, homemaker, wonderful baker, and always looked out for and helped people, she will be missed.
She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and Theta Alpha amma Phi Beta Psi Sorority, and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary
Survivors include her siblings Charley Caraway of Bedford, Danny Scott of Bedford, Jim Caraway of Bedford, Paul Caraway of North Vernon, Vincent Caraway of Nebraska, Thomas Caraway of Bedford, Steve Caraway of Needmore, Gregory Caraway of Bloomington and Mary Catherine Swazey of Oregon; one grandson Ryan Fisher of Chrisney.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Brian Fisher; one brother George Caraway.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday July 19, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Interment will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens at a later date
Everett C. Freed – Williams
Everett C. Freed, 81, of Williams passed away at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the residence of his son in Indianapolis.
Born November 27, 1932, in Jackson County, Tennessee, he was the son of Thomas J. and Elizabeth (Carver) Sneed. He had been employed by Goodyear Tire Company.
Survivors include his children, Kurtis (Tamara) Sneed, Indianapolis, Kevin (Brenda) Sneed, Cloverdale, Kimberly Lynn Sneed, Avon; grandchildren, Janice Sneed and Christopher Sneed; siblings, Vestal Sneed, Tennessee, L. T. Sneed, Tennessee, Bill Sneed, Tennessee, Georgia May, Tennessee, Tean Sneed, Indianapolis; special friends, Dan and Joann Bridges, Donnie and Sherry Miller, Rick Butterfield and family.
His parents; and siblings, Dot and Stanley, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Port William Cemetery with Jack Butterfield officiating.Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Frank Reinig, 61, of Bedford, formerly of Cincinnati, passed away on June 28, 2014 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
