Betty J. Godsey – Bedford
Betty J. Godsey, 58, of Bedford, passed away at 6:06 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center.
Born March 24, 1956, in Salem, IN, she was the daughter of Paul Knight and Rosetta (Wheeler) Knight. She married Don Godsey on September 12, 1975; and he survives.
She was a graduate of Mitchell High School, Class of 1974. She had attended Oakland City College. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Bedford. She was a devoted mother and wife and friend to everyone she met.
Surviving are her husband, Don, of Bedford; one daughter, Melissa (Tim) Wray, of Fayetteville; one son, Michael (Coey) Ohwow-Godsey, of Bedford; four grandchildren, Benjamin Wray, Kaitlyn Wray, Ryan Wray, and Vincent Knight; one half-brother, Kenny (Karen) Mann, of Mitchell; and one half-sister, Mary (Ron) Duncan of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marcia Knight.
Funeral service will be on Friday, July 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God, with Pastor Bill McKee officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.Friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. at First Assembly of God.

Ernest “Ernie” Davidson – Bedford
Ernest “Ernie” Davidson went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2014.
Born September 25, 1923 to Dora Ellsworth and Edvina (Roach) Davidson in Mitchell, IN.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice M. (McCoy) Davidson, whom he married on November 22, 1947 in Bedford, KY. He then married Martha C. (Mitchell) Davidson on December 17, 2005.
He served in the Navy during WWII and served as a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol. He retired from General Motors, was a member of the Fairview Community Church in Bedford, IN, the Bedford Men’s Bowling Association, and coached youth bowlers in Bedford for over 30 years.
Surviving are his wife, Martha; sons Michael M. Clouse (Linda), Dean Davidson, Tony Davidson (Diana), and James “Gene” Davidson (Brenda); step-sons Jerry Watts and Brian Mitchell and step-daughters Lillian Lesley and Rebecca Russell; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 54 years, Alice, his three brothers and three sisters, and granddaughters Tammera L. Brouse-Martin and Dawn M. (Clouse) Bartlett.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Pastor Lindy Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Burial rites will be conducted by American Legion Gillen Post 33. Friends may call on Wednesday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be considered to the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County.
