Robert “Bob” Tritle – Mitchell
Robert “Bob” Tritle, 77, passed away at 2:35 a.m. Friday, at his residence. Funeral arrangements are pending at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Born February 11, 1937, in Leipsic, he was the son of Earl Franklin and Bess (Caroline)
McCoy. He married Martha Lois Nolan September 20, 1958. Bob was employed 43 years at Carpenter Body Works, and was a farmer. He graduated from Orleans High School in 1955, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Lois Tritle, Mitchell; daughter, Nancy Jo (Brian) Porter, Orleans; son, Timothy Earl (Vicki) Tritle, Seymour; twin sons, John Robert (Natalie) Tritle, Bedford, Jason Ralph (Angela) Tritle, Spencer; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, William Lee Tritle, Bedford
His parents; sister, Carolyn Weeks; and brother, Jimmy Harris Tritle, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating. Burial will be in Burton Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.

E. Marlin Simmons – Orleans
E. Marlin Simmons, 82, of Orleans, formerly of Shoals, passed away on June 4, 2014 at 6:46 p.m. at Kindred Hospital South in Greenwood.
He was born on October 7, 1931 in French Lick, Indiana to Frank and Fammie (Byers) Simmons.
Marlin Graduated from Springs Valley High School and then married Donna June Sermersheim on June 10, 1955 and she preceded him in death on May, 12, 2007. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War. He retired from National Gypsum and was a member of the Shoals American Legion Post 61.
He is survived by two daughters, Lois and Terry Singer, of Jasper; Amanda and Jeremiah Stevens, of Odenton, MD; one sone Kenneth and Karen Simmons, of Orleans; seven grandchildren, Chris and Matthew Simmons, Lisa and Randy Johnson, Christian and Hannah Stevens and Joshua Simmons; six great-grandchildren; one niece Karen Furhman, of Haysville.
He is preceded in death by his wife, one son David Simmons and a sister Ermil Furham.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Maxine Stigall – Bedford

Maxine Stigall, 89, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday June 4, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at Stonebridge Health Campus.
She was born in Bedford on June 6, 1924 to Manford & Vannie (Medlock) King. Maxine married Theodore “Ted” Stigall in February of 1940 and he preceded her in death on October 23, 1976.
Maxine and her husband Ted were restaurant owners for many years, and also owned Stigall Grocery on Patton Hill, they operated the Dairy Dream in Oolitic, and then Ted’s Drive-in also in Oolitic and Ted’s Drive-in at Mitchell, and Ted’s Drive-in at Prospect, they were also in the original ownership of the Holiday Drive-in. Maxine worked many years at the Golden Gables, she helped her daughter-in -law Carol Stigall.
Survivors include two sons; David Stigall and his wife Beth of Bedford, Kim Stigall and his wife Carol of Bedford; grandchildren, Jeremy Stigall and wife Heather of Bedford, Heather Daley and husband Skip of Bloomington, Chad Stigall and wife Kelly of Bedford, Darren Stigall of Bedford; great grandchildren Trista Stigall, Tyler Stigall, Heather Haley Stigall, Alexandra Daley; one sister, Wilma Webb of Oolitic
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one sister, Mary Rose Seidle
Maxine was a member of the Oolitic Baptist Church and she loved traveling to Florida and she lived in Florida in the 1970’s
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 7, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home. Friends may call on Friday June 6, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
