Joyce Lynn “Joy” Slaughter, 64, passed away Sunday, May 18, at Indiana University Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

Henry Robert Flinn – Bedford
Henry Robert Flinn, 95, of Bedford, died at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Garden Villa, Bedford.
Born December 5, 1918 in Lawrence Co., IN, he was the son of Richard Flinn and Maude (Eisele) Flinn. He married Alvira Katter on November 29, 1941; she preceded him in death on November 17, 1984.
He was a lifelong farmer, having returned to the Buddha Community after attending the Indiana School for the Deaf, Indianapolis, where he farmed the rest of his working life; he was retired; he was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are two sons, Richard I. (Vicky) Flinn and Robert H. (Sharon) Flinn, both of Bedford; one daughter, Wanda E. (Donald) Pipher, also of Bedford; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and one brother, John K. Flinn, Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister; three brothers; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, with Bro. Paul Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Pinhook Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Jason D. Cain – Bedford
Jason Dale Cain, 58, of Bedford, passed away at 2:28 A.M. on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Garden Villa, in Bedford.
Born March 16, 1956, in San Gabriel, CA, he was the son of Eathel Deamus (Tubal) Cain and Francis Carmen (Abbot) Cain.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Surviving are two brothers Michael David (Janice) Cain, of Bedford, and John Louis (Teresa) Cain, of California; one sister, Geraldine Carmen (James) Clark, of Bedford; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard Beasley and Raymond Cain; and seven sisters, Lucille Richardson, Mildred Enochs, Rita (Ruthie) Jarzombek, Linda Walker, Christine Bailey, Marilyn Cain, and Janice Cain.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, with Father Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating.
