Edwin A. “Ed” Wyatt – Hartford City

Edwin A. “Ed” Wyatt age 65 of Hartford City, formerly of Bedford, passed
away on Saturday March 8, 2014 at 3:14 p.m. at Premiere Hospice in Hartford City.
He was born on March 9, 1948 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, Illinois to Alfred Harry & Irene (Graber) Wyatt. Mr. Wyatt was a retired Major in the US Army; he served in Vietnam War as a Captain in the US Army.He was a member of the American Legion & V.F.W, was a lifetime member of D.A.V.
Survivors include one son Colin Wyatt, of Bedford; one grandson Robert
Edwin Wyatt, of Bedford; former wife Susan Wyatt, of Bedford; sister Laura, of Chicago; brother William, of Chicago; two nephews Phillip, of
Chicago and Lucas, of Chicago and their wives and children
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Judy.
Friends may call on Wednesday March 12, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, cremation will follow Military rites will be given at 5 p.m. by Bedford American Legion Post #33.
Ruth E. Brillhart – Bedford
Ruth E. Brillhart, 95, of Bedford, passed away at 3:45 pm on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at White River Lodge in Bedford.
Born November 3, 1918 in Elwood, IN, she was the daughter of Forest and Nellie (Shawgo) Heller. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church and Ladies Connection and Department Club.
Survivors include a son, Ron Brillhart and wife, Patricia, of California; a daughter, Linda Clouse and husband, Michael Max of Bedford; three grandchildren, Kevelynne Ely and husband, Michael, of California, Aaron Brillhart of California, James (Jim) Michael Clouse (Stephanie) of Bedford; five great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ian Ely of California, Tia Clouse (Dawn’s daughter) and companion, John Canfield of Bedford, Seirra Clouse (Dawn’s daughter) and Briannah Clouse (Jim’s daughter) all of Bedford; one great great granddaughter, Brayleigh Dawn Canfield; a brother, Selmer Heller of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Dawn Marie (Clouse) Bartlett in 2011; four brothers, Ralph Heller, William Heller, Delbert Heller and Forest Heller, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Thursday, March 13th at the First Baptist Church in Bedford with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 am until the hour of service on Thursday, March 13th at Day & Carter Mortuary.

Evelyn M. Porter – Bedford

Evelyn M. Porter, 86, of Bedford, passed away on March 7, 2014 at 11:40 a.m. at Garden Villa in Bedford.
She was born in Bedford on March 15, 1928 to Tom and Maude (Cox) Chestnut. Evelyn married Paul Porter on June 19, 1948 and he survives. She retired from M. Fine & Sons in Bedford and she attended First Christian Church in Mitchell.
Survivors include her husband Paul Porter, of Bedford; one son Roger Porter and his wife Lynn, of Bedford, one sister Mary Ann Connerley, of Bedford; two grandsons Josh Porter and wife Amy, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Sr. Airman Seth Porter, of Minot, North Dakota; one great grandson Luke Porter, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
She was preceded in death by her parents & 1 Brother: Thomas Chestnut Christian Church in Mitchell.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday March 13, 2014 at Cresthaven Funeral Home, burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens with Minister Josh Porter, officiating.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations made be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
