Chad struggled with addiction since high school, but his story does not end in defeat as so many stories of addiction do. Chad turned his life over to Christ two years ago. After becoming disabled in an auto accident if you saw Chad you would also see Michael, Emily and his mom with him. Living across the road from Chad, Michael and Emily were with him on a daily basis and helped him greatly. Chad was a member of the Stonegate Faith Center. He began attending church regularly to learn and receive all he could from Jesus. He was a young man on fire for God at the time of his death. Chad was a kind-hearted, giving man who would give the shirt off of his back to even a stranger in need. His desire was to be able to share with friends of what Jesus had done for him. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. To be absent in body is to be present with the Lord. Chad is loved and will be greatly missed. We have the assurance that “This is not goodbye, we’ll see you later.”
