Casilda “Cass” Arthur – Ocoee, FL
Casilda “Cass” Arthur, 77, originally of Bedford, Indiana, passed away December 11, 2013 at her home in Ocoee, FL. Cass was born in Delta, Kentucky to the late Charles Esker and Lara Denny. Cass retired from General Electric after 25 years of service. She was married to her late husband, Dean, for 49 years. Cass spent most of her life in Indiana with her family. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, traveling and caring for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Cass was preceded in her passing by her husband, Dean Arthur; and three sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Randall “Randy” Arthur and Miles “Dana” Arthur; brothers Mitt Denny, Mike Denny, and Bryan Denny; sisters Harriett Cummings and Twyleah Mitcham; grandchildren Maggie, Nick, Brady, Mavis, Jason, Clayton, and Erick; and great-grandchildren Olivia, Katelyn, and Kaden.
A Graveside Service will be held for Cass on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 10 am at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL, 34734.
Arrangements are under the care of Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
Jimmie D. Goodman – Bedford
Jimmie D. Goodman, 77, of Bedford, died on Thursday, December 12, 2013.
Born August 29, 1936 in Bedford, he was the son of Norman and Della (Johnson) Goodman. He married Annette Sherman on July 2, 1965 and she survives. He retired as a millwright and was an auto enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Annette of Bedford; a son, Danny Dean Goodman, Sr. and wife, Ginny of Oregon; a daughter, Cherise Goodman Geary of Indianapolis; two grandsons, Danny Dean Goodman, Jr. and wife, Penny, David D Goodman and wife, Tia; two granddaughters, Brittney Goodman and Jade Geary; three great grandchildren, Isiah Goodman, Selah Goodman and Dylan Goodman; a brother, Dale Goodman of Springville; three sisters, Norma
Hercamp of Florida, Patty Freeman of Bloomington and Joyce Davis of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 pm on Sunday, December 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Visitation will be from Noon until the hour of service on Sunday, December 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Harry Hughes – Mitchell
Harry Hughes, 53, of Mitchell, died at 1:00 am on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at his residence.
Born October 10, 1960 in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of Theodore and Yvonne (Wells) Hughes. He married Patty Gary on June 4, 1983 and she survives. Harry served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Iran-Iraq Conflict. He had worked at C & M Conveyor in Mitchell. Harry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed playing with his dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Patty, of Mitchell; his mother, Yvonne Hughes of Utah; a daughter, Trista Hughes of Evansville; a son, Harry “Joey” Hughes, Jr. of Denton, TX; three brothers, Rocky Hughes of Utah, Kevin Hughes of Masena, NY and Rex Hughes of Canton, NY. He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Hughes.
Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bob Courson officiating. Military rites will be accorded by members of the Gillen Post #33 American Legion and D.A.V. Chapter 2. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the hour of service on Tuesday, December 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
