Melody Rose Henderson – MItchell
Melody Rose Henderson, 57, passed away at 5:17 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
Born December 30, 1955, in San Diego, California, she was the daughter of Robert and Naomi (Austill) Clem. She married Hamel Wayne Henderson August 15, 1975.
Melody was a homemaker, babysitter, and a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1974.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Henderson,of Mitchell; mother, Naomi Geary, of Mitchell; brothers, Carl Raymond Clem, of North Carolina, Frederick Lynn Clem, of Orleans, Jeffery Patrick Clem, of Mitchell, Phillip Edward Geary, of Mitchell; stepbrother, Jerry Zearbaugh, of Muncie and stepsister, Darlene Shigley, of Muncie.
She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Mary Box; and stepbrother, James Zearbaugh.
Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, at Mitchell Cemetery with Reverend Steve Jones officiating. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
