Richard D. Trowbridge, 67, of Orleans, passed away on Thursday October 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at his residence. He was born in Lawrence County on August 2, 1946 to Dennis & A. Helen (Chastain) Trowbridge. He attended Bedford High School & was an US Navy Veteran. Richard was retired from Dana Corporation in Mitchell where he was a machinist. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. He enjoyed listening to country music and was an avid NASCAR fan. He took great pleasure and pride in his beloved cat, Damon
Survivors include his children; Ginger Roach of Orleans, Candy Trowbridge of Florida, Steve Trowbridge of Florida, John Trowbridge of Florida, Scarlett and husband David Baker of Bedford, his mother, A. Helen Trowbridge of Mitchell; his siblings Tony Trowbridge of Bedford, Doug Trowbridge of Arkansas, Scott Trowbridge and wife Tammy Trowbridge of Bedford, Judy Watson of Bedford, Etta Gilbert of Mitchell, Lynn Trowbridge of Bedford, and Carol and husband Bob Abel of Bedford; 10 Grandchildren & several great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his father Dennis Trowbridge and one brother Dennis Trowbridge
Celebration of Life will be held on Monday October 28, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. with Fred Barger officiating, at Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford.
