Rowana Maxine Thompson – Wuprata, Washington
Rowana Maxine Thompson, 90, passed away August 21, 2013, at Columbia Basin Hospital in Euphrata, Washington.
Born March 21, 1923, in Mitchell, she was the son of Henry and Ida Mae (Burton) McPherson. She married William Donald Thompson April 4, 1945. Rowana was a homemaker. She was a member of the Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Survivors include her husband, William Donald Thompson, Epharata, Washington; children, William D. Thompson, Jr., Washington, Rodney C. Thompson, Great Falls, Montana, Janice Gail Thompson, Ephrata, Washington; grandchildren, Craig Thompson, Richard Thompson; great grandson, Aiden Thompson; sisters, Kathryn Parks, Mitchell, Agatha Merry, Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Leland McPherson, Emmett McPherson, Faye Chastain, Lorena Eversole, and Burton McPherson.
Graveside service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 12, at Mitchell Cemetery with Father Rick Eldred officiated.

Mildred Suzy Meek – Bedford
Mildred Suzy Meek, 69, of Bedford, passed away at 6:13 p.m. on Friday October 11, 2013, at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington.
Born June 25, 1944 in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Archie and Ida Annis (Byrd) Bex. She married Roy Parker who passed away on June 18, 1981. She then married Bobby Meek in May of 1985; and he survives. She is a graduate of Huron High School and attended Indiana Business College in Indianapolis, IN. She worked at I.U. Assembly Hall in Bloomington, IN as the head secretary to the ticket manager for 34 years where she retired on June 13, 2001.
Surviving are her husband Bobby Meek, of Bedford; three daughters, Wendy Sue Bell, of Mitchell; Robbyn and husband Gary Murphy, Oolitic; and Rebecca and Christopher Clayton, of Bloomington; two sons, Bobby Jr. Meek and wife Elizabeth Meek, of Cataract, IN; and Warren Meek, of Bedford; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one sister, Linda Bex, of North Carolina; two brothers Dale Bex, of Martin County, IN; and Bob Bex, of Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband Roy Parker; one sister, Madonna; and one sibling in infancy.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Pastor David Voorhees officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 16, from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
