Mary Olive Lockenour Kimmel – Bedford
Mary Olive Lockenour Kimmel, 85, of Bedford, died at 10:50 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at her residence.
Born September 16, 1928 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of George and Esther (Turner) Lockenour. She married Jack Andrew Kimmel on April 26, 1947 in Bedford and he survives. She retired from Bloomington Hospital and assisted in the care of the elderly in their homes. She was a member of the Oolitic Church of Christ. She loved embroidery and made pillowcases, tablecloths and baby blankets for everyone.
Survivors include her husband, Jack of Bedford; four sons, Steven Kimmel and wife, Elayne, Benjamin Kimmel and wife, Gayle, Dwight Kimmel and wife, Barbara all of Springville and Joseph Kimmel and wife, Cheryl of Bedford; two daughters, Bonnie Morrow and husband, Bruce of Nashville and Connie Kimmel of Bedford; grandchildren, Teresa Barger and husband, Tony, Jill Smith and husband, David, Darren Kimmel and wife, Libby, Capt. Travis Kimmel and wife, Blair, Brandt Kimmel and wife, Ashlie, Lane Jesse Kimmel and wife, Lesley, Zach Kimmel, Nikki Kimmel, Abby McAfee and husband, Nolan and Wes Morrow; twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Vance Lockenour and Charles Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Saturday, October 5th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, October 4th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Ruby Violet (Brassine) Pritchett – Bedford
Ruby Violet (Brassine) Pritchett, 77,of Bedford, died at 7:00 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at White River Lodge.
Born April 26, 1936 in Martin Co., she was the daughter of David and Violet (Fortner) Brassine. She married Fredrick Austin Pritchett and he preceded her in death in 1988. She was a homemaker and member of the Oolitic Church of Christ.
Survivors include two children, Michael Austin Pritchett of Springville and Kiva Sean (Pritchett) Gratzer and husband, William of Bedford; five grandchildren, Stephanie Renea
Pritchett, Jennifer Michelle Pritchett, Maria Elizabeth (Pritchett) Mull and husband, Nathan, Darinda Lynn (Welch) Gross and husband, Kevin, Kebrina Lea (Gratzer) Metzler and husband, Julio; seven great grandchildren, Kellsy (Christensen) Thompson and husband, Josh, William (Billy) Christensen, Garrett Gross, Aidyn Gross, Brianna Metzler, Savannah Metzler and Gabriel Metzler; a brother, Opal Brassine of Bedford; four sisters, Pearl Rains of Bedford, Lucy Marybelle Shadle of Bowling Green, KY, Ann Wilson and Patricia Moore and husband, Ronald all of Bedford; eight nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, William Edward Pritchett; a sister-in-law, Beverly Brassine; three brothers-in-law, Frank Rains, Russ Shadle and Larry Wilson.
No visitation or services are scheduled. Cremation was chosen. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Roger Lee Goen – Bedford
Roger Lee Goen, 57, of Bedford, died at 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at his residence.
Born November 15, 1955, in Bedford, he was the son of Hubert Goen and Pauline (Wilder) Goen.
He had worked nearly 28 years for Indiana Limestone Co. and later worked as a railroad repairman; he had also worked as a trail boss at Spring Mill State Park. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Surviving are his mother, Pauline Goen, Mitchell; his life partner, Sandra Conley, Bedford; two daughters, Andrea Brown, Bedford, and Ivy Goen, Greene Co.; two sons, Travis Lee Goen, Bedford, and Christian Lee Goen, Greene Co.; two grandchildren, Hunter Lee Brown and Zoey Lee Goen, both of Bedford; and one sister, Sheila Goen, Huron, IN;
He was preceded in death by his father.
A graveside service is planned at Tunnelton Cemetery, Tunnelton, IN at 2:30 Friday, October 4, 2013, with Reno Bates officiating.
Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
