George E. McKibben – Shoals
George E. McKibben, 86, of Shoals, passed away on September 15, 2013 at 5:16 p.m. at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.
He was born in Shoals, Indiana on July 31, 1927 to James and Violet (Patterson) McKibben. He married Mary Lou Gibbs and she preceded him in death on August 5, 1985.
George was an electrician and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Evansville. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II and a member of the Shoals American Legion Post 61. He attended Martin County Schools.
He is survived by special friend Judith Jones, of Shoals; four sons, Ronnie Danny, Shelby and Brian McKibben, all of Shoals; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sister, Elsie Jackson, of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Dennis Lee McKibben and one brother Charles McKibben.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. A funeral service will be held on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Shoals American Legion Post 61 will accord military graveside rites.

Eliza Wagoner – Williams
Eliza Wagoner, 84 of Williams, passed away on Sunday September 15, 2013 at 8:30 am at White River Lodge in Bedford.
She was born on January 19, 1929 in Jackson, Kentucky to Green & Cappie (Spicer) Spicer, she married James B. Wagoner on April 4, 1954 and he preceded her in death on April 27, 1991. She was a Homemaker
Survivors include her brothers and sisters: Green Spicer, Jr. of Mitchell, Lonnie Spicer of Palmyra, Raymond Spicer of Bedford, and Effie Smith of Mitchell, her loving friend Sarah Harrell of Williams, Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers; Delbert and Asbery Spicer, sisters, Sarah Wyatt and Nannie Tharp.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 18, 2013 at 2 pm at Cresthaven Funeral Home. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1 pm until 2 pm service at the funeral home
Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Kathryn C. Baker – Mitchell
Kathryn C. Baker, 86, of Mitchell, passed away at 9:35 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2013, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born September 24, 1926, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Lynvel and Gayle (Holsapple) Hall. She married William J. Baker September 8, 1944. She was a homemaker and a member of the 39th Street Christian Church in Bedford.
Surviving include her husband of 69 years, William Baker, Mitchell; daughters, Willa Kay and husband Howard, Mitchell, Sheila Sue Baker, Mitchell, Cheryl Lynn Baker, Heltonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Stine.
Funeral service will be at 10 am Wednesday, September 18, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday and from 9 am until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Johnny Blanton – Mitchell
Johnny Blanton, 64, passed away at 1:51 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, at the Faith Mission Church in Bedford. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the service on Wednesday at the church. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Mitchell Cemetery.
Lyle Maass – Anderson
Lyle Maass, 51 of Anderson, passed away at his residence at 3:45 am on Monday September 16, 2013.

Martha Armstrong – Seymour
Martha Armstrong, 84 of Seymour, passed away on September 12, 2013 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on May 12, 1929.
Cremation was chosen with a memorial service at a later date.
