Rose Armstrong – Springville
Springville-Rose Armstrong, 91, of South Harrodsburg Road, Springville, died at 11:03 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Born April 24, 1922 in Lawrence County, IN she was the daughter of Clint and Lila (Tucker) Bridwell. She was a graduate of Bedford High School. She married Don Armstrong in June of 1941 and he preceded her in death on September 23, 2008. Rose was a home maker and a member of the Popcorn Christian Church; she loved genealogy of her family and the community. The Harrodsburg Community Center has the Rose B. Armstrong room which has her history of the community. In 2000, Rose and Don were named Monroe County Farm Family of the year.
Survivors include two sons: Joe H. Armstrong and his wife Trudy (Deckard) of Springville, Alan D. Armstrong and his wife Sharon (Turner) of Springville; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey H. Armstrong and his wife Jennifer of Springville, Darren Armstrong and his wife April of Springville, Amy Spires and her husband Cam of Springville, Dr. Ashley Armstrong and her husband, Robert Heath Prince of Springville, Allison Armstrong Deckard and her husband Levi of Clay City, Doug Wilson and his wife Lisa of Ellettsville, and Marisa Donovan and her husband Brant of Clayton; two step grandchildren: Dr. Holly Cooper and her husband Dr. Jason Cooper of Zionsville and Lorrie Gray and her husband Jason of Brownsburg; 13 great grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren; one brother: Ken Bridwell and his wife Louise of Paris, IL, two sisters: Carol Bennett and her husband Bob of Marshall, IL, and Twila Hall and her husband Dan of Austin, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter Leslie Armstrong Wilson Hassfurder, and one son Mark Edward Armstrong (in infancy), brothers, Vic and Phil Bridwell; a sister, Margie Clendening.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 31 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Dee Kinman, and Bro. Phil McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Lowder Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, August 30 from 4 p.m. until 8: p.m. at the Day & Carter Mortuary. The Family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Lowder Cemetery Association, Popcorn Christian Church, or the Harrodsburg Heritage Days.

Patricia Jo (Srygley) Garofola – Bedford
Patricia Jo (Srygley) Garofola, 75, of Bedford, passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday August 27, 2013, in Bedford.
Born October 28, 1937, in East Oolitic, IN, she was the daughter of Charles K. and Mabel (Lawyer) Srygley. She married Joseph Garofola on June 22, 1957; and he survives. She was a graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1957. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church since 1956, and was also a member of the St. Vincent Altar Society. She was a retired florist and owned and operated Country Charm Flowers in Bedford for 20 years. She was also a food demonstrator for Jay-C Plus in Bedford.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph Garofola of Bedford; two sons, Timothy W. Garofola and wife Cathy and Tracy J. Garofola and wife Teresa, both of Bedford; grandchildren, Timothy Aaron (Garofola and wife Ashlea of Fort, Wayne and Kayla Marie Garofola, of Bedford; two great grandchildren, Mackenna Diane Garofola and Allayna Marie Garofola, both of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Tommy Syrgley and wife Cheryl Syrgley and Randy Syrgley and wife Peggy, both of Bedford; two sisters, Debbie George and husband Tom, of Williams, and Charlene Srygley of Clover, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Tina Marie Garofola, in 1976.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Father Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.

Benjamin A. Honeycutt age 20 of Bedford, died on August 22, 2013 at IU Health Hospital in Paoli.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Life Center in Bedford
