David Morris Cottegain – Orleans
David Morris Cottengain, 72, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013, at University of Louisville Hospital. Born May 31, 1941, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Jasper C. and Agnew (Bex) Cottengain.
He married Elizabeth Grace Moffatt September 17, 1963. He was a self-employed electrician and a graduate of Mitchell High School. David was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Grace Cottengaim, Orleans; children, Jacqueline Cottengaim, Orleans, Tammie Cottengaim, Greenville, South Carolina, David Allen Cottengaim, Orleans; grandchildren, Jessica Miller, Miranda Tillette, Dustin Grant, and Dylan Cottengaim; three great grandchildren; brothers, Menlo Cottengaim, Mitchell,Don Cottengaim, Mitchell, Dean Cottengaim, Mitchell
He was preceded in death by his father; mother, Agnew Haley; and brother, Glen E. Cottengaim.
A private family burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107 under the direction of Haverly Funeral Chapel and Cremation.
Kenny (Lucky) Shifflett – Bedford
Kenny (Lucky) Shifflett, 58, of Bedford, passed away at 10:18 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at IU Health-Bedford.
Born October 13, 1954 in Shelbyville, IN, he was the son of K. Raymond Shifflett and Mary (Cooper) Moore. He was a construction truck driver.
Surviving are his father, Raymond Shifflett of Terre Haute; his mother, Mary Moore of Bedford; one daughter, Valerie Shifflett of Bedford; one son, Jayce Shifflett of Orleans; four grandchildren; four brothers, Curt Shifflett of Mitchell; Nick Shifflett of Bedford; Chris Shifflett of Freetown; and Louie Lopez of Frisco, TX; one sister, Dionne Vitaliano of Eminence, MO; two step-sisters Pam Oldham of Oolitic; Sherry Jones of Martinsville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Service will be on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 11a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with his uncle, John Cooper, and Doyle Henderson officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11a.m. at the funeral home.

Irene C. Runyan Rosenbaum age 69 of Bedford, passed away on Thursday August 1, 2013 at Morgantown Health Center in Morgantown. She was born in Munising, Michigan on January 31, 1944 to Hayden & Betty (Morse) Dunn.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Cresthaven Memory Gardens; Chapel of Peace, burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. There are no visitation hours.
