Alan D. Thurman
Alan C. Thurman, 38, Greenwood, passed Wednesday.
He was born June 29, 1974 in Franklin, and was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School. He received his aviation mechanics degree from Vincennes University and was currently enrolled at IUPUI studying Motorsports Engineering, pursuing his love for racing. Al worked at Perry Brothers Auto Sales for 13 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors: wife Jammie (Ball) Thurman; two children, Emily and Elan; parents, Diana Thurman, Michael and Darla Thurman; siblings, Karen (John) McKinney, Joe (Pam) Thurman, Jennifer (Ben) McGibbon; nieces and nephews, Rob (Becca) Taylor, Kate Wilcox and Jarrod Melton.
Visitation: 2-6 p.m. Sunday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, with the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery, Greenwood.

Marilyn Clay Ellis, 71, of Phoenix and formerly of French Lick, died June 21 in Phoenix. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home in French Lick. Burial will follow in the Cuzco Community Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
