Barton L. Webber – Bedford
Bedford-Barton L. Webber, 75, of Bedford passed away at 6:25 am on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at his residence.
Born October 11, 1937 in Washington, IN, he was the son of Floyd and Violet (Ross) Webber. He married Linda Ashley on February 25, 1984 and she survives. He was retired from the Sherwin- Williams Co. after 20 years of service, and also a dedicated Realtor/broker for the Keach and Grove Agency. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bart enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and working in his yard.
Survivors include his wife: Linda Webber of Bedford; five children: Kelley Woodworth and her husband Austin of Lebanon, Kelley Jo Wendlandt and her husband Greg of Gilroy, CA, Grant L. Webber and his wife Susan of Uvalde, TX, Mark Webber and his wife Kristie of Indianapolis, Amber Branham and her husband Mike of Bedford; nine grandchildren: Clay, Mattie, Sabrina, Justin, Ashton, Allison, Mackenze, Alex, Tanner, Taylor, and Emilee; five sisters: Anna Hudson and her husband William of Newburgh, Brenda Robertson and her husband Dean of Indianapolis, Anita Kirchoff of Washington, Pam Fleck and her husband Joe of Washington, Kim Gaines and her husband Sam of Washington; one brother: Larry Webber of Washington; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Shannon Rainey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday, May 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Duane Brown, and Pastor Doyle Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery where military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion and D.A.V. Chapter 2. Visitation will be from 3 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday, May 15th.
