Edna Charlene Phillips Banks – Springville
Edna Charlene Phillips Banks, 73, of Springville, passed away at 3:03 am on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born December 30, 1939 in Science Hill, KY, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Roxie Mae (Bell) Phillips. She married Richard Bill Banks and he preceded her in death in 1993. She retired from General Electric and was a member of the Oak Grove Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her children, Laverne Jones and wife Sandy, of Bedford, Melissa Goodman and husband Billy, of Bloomington and Kevin Jones, of Springville, step-sons,
Terry Banks and wife, Sherry, of Bloomington and Gerald Banks and wife, of Texas; a sister, Alma Jones and husband, Norman; a brother Howard Phillips and wife, Amy, all of
Springville; grandchildren, Tyler and Tyson LuAllen, Taner Goodman, Kacy Turpin, Kevin and Niky Jones, Jami and Jessie Goodman; great grandchildren, Sydnee LuAllen,
Sierra Pritchett, Tyler LuAllen, Jr., Sadie LuAllen, Ryatt Reggal, Kaytlin Charlene Turpin Jayson Edwards and Bryson Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Herbert, Stanley, R.C., Eugene, Glen, Luther and Ray; sisters, Carrie, Aline and Opal.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, March 9th at Oak Grove Pentecostal Church with Bro. Larry Hawkins and Bro. Mark Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 8 pm on Friday, March 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Robert Dean Clampitt – Mitchell
Robert Dean Clampitt, 77, of Mitchell, passed away at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 17, 1935, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Dale and Leona (Hatfield) Clampitt. He married Rita Chastain August 20, 1983.
Bob retired from Otis Elevator and served eight years in the Indiana National Guard, 138th Armor, Bedford. He graduated from Shawswick High School in 1955.
Survivors include wife, Rita Clampitt, of Mitchell; children, Jeffrey Dale Clampitt, of Bloomington; Kristy and husband William Workman, of Indianapolis, Jan Reynolds, of Orleans, Judi Ann and husband Jake Taylor, of Mitchell; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, William Clampitt and wife Margiett, of New Castle
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Charlie Raymond Clampitt.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 8, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
Friends may call from 4 pm to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
