Jack Lee Earl – Mitchell
Jack Lee Earl, 73, of Mitchell, passed away at 3:25 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at White River Lodge in Bedford, with his daughter at his side.
Born October 15, 1939, in Lawrence port, he was the son of Alonzo and Mabel (Leatherman) Earl. He married Patricia “Pat” Hart October 2, 1968. He was employed as a mechanic at Hancock Trucking.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia “Pat” Earl, of Mitchell; daughter, Keli Parker, of Mitchell; grandson, Nicholas Walton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Roberta Lanning and Louise Stewart.
Graveside service will be p.m1 Tuesday, February 19, in Mitchell Cemetery with Dr. Allen Burris officiating.
Casketbearers: Nick Walton, Jim Bush, Maggie Taylor, Roger Hopper, Don Carroll, Jerry Hancock, Jr., and Steve Miller.

Judith Ann Caudill – Mitchell

Judith Ann Caudill, 43, of Mitchell, passed away Wednesday evening, February 13, 2013, at her residence.
Born July 3, 1969, in Bedford, she was the daughter of James Franklin “Bebuck” and Karen Faye (Pate) Porter. She married Tommy Wayne Caudill July 30, 1995.
She was a homemaker and a graduate of Mitchell High School in 1987.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy W. Caudill, of Mitchell; children, Cory Logan Caudill, of Corinth, Mississippi, George Sherman Patton II, of Bedford, Natasha Maria Dawn Harvey, of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Nolan and Nash Patton; sisters, Tena Rana (Porter) Kern, of Bedford, Kathy Jo (Porter) Morgan, of Orleans.
Funeral service will be 4 pm Sunday, February 17, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Bro. Jerry Allen officiating. A family graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 pm until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Betty Kirkman – Terre Haute
Betty Kirkman, 84, of Terre Haute, formerly of Springville, passed away at 3:50 pm on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Spring Hill Village in Terre Haute.
Born December 1, 1928 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Clyde and Eva (Bush) Collins. She married George E. Kirkman and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2010. She was a teacher at Needmore Elementary School and a member of the Avoca Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Phillip Kirkman, of Alaska; a daughter, Shari Ritchey, of Terre Haute; three grandchildren, Brittany Paris and husband, Jared, of Indianapolis, Taylor and Parker Ritchey, both of Terre Haute; a brother, Harrison Collins and wife, Pam, of Mitchell; a niece, Rebecca Osborne and husband, Joe and their daughter, Mackenzie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Anna White.
Memorial services will be conducted at 10 am on Wednesday, February 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Jason Riggle officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, February 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
