Elsie M. Harvey – Mitchell
Elsie M. Harvey, 89, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Tenslee Scott – Bedford
Tenslee Scott age 82, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday at 9:30 am at Mitchell Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on November 12, 1930 in Cabin Creek, West Virginia to Frankie and Roberta “Birtie” (Brown) Scott. He married Ruth (Herron) Scott and she preceded him in death. Tenslee was a retired Coal Miner in West Virginia, he was an US Army Veteran serving from October 1948 until April of 1955, he was a veteran of the Korean War, Tenslee served his country with pride, and He was a member of American Legion Post #33, Bedford.
Survivors include one son-in-law, Michael Parenti, of Bedford, three grandsons, Michael Parenti, Jr,. of Bedford, James Scott, of Chicago and Miguel Lewis, of Louisiana.
Tenslee was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth Scott, two sons, Robert and James Scott, one daughter, Mary Scott Parenti, one granddaughter, Raquel Scott.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 1, 2013 at 1 pm at Cresthaven Funeral Home
Friends may call on Friday from 10 am until service time at 1 pm at Cresthaven Funeral Home
Burial will be in Patton Hill Cemetery, with rites by American Legion Post #33.
Shirley Joan Dalton – Bloomington
Shirley Joan Dalton, 68, of Bloomington, passed away at 8:48 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at her residence.
Born August 9, 1944, in Oolitic, she was she daughter of Chillis and Callie (Luttrell) Gosser. She married Leroy Dalton in March of 1984, and he preceded her in death in April of 2011.
She was a homemaker, a member of Bethel Holiness Church, and a graduate of Oolitic High School in 1962.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Chapman, of Mitchell; granddaughter, Amber Clayton; great grandchildren, Keaton, Kamden, and MacKenley.
She was preceeded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Janet Begley, Olean Gosser, Osbie Gosser, Mary Box, Matrice Turner, Louie Gosser.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, February 1, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Bro. Roger Helton officiating. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 2, at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
