Ronnie Joe Rodger – Mitchell
Ronnie Joe Rodgers, 45, of Mitchell passed away at 10:18 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012, at St. Vincent Salem Hospital.
Born September 3, 1967, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Diane Tuddy. Ronnie was a self employed roofer and a member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Jared Tincher, of Bedford, Kaycee Hart, of Salem, Mariah Smith, of Salem, Kelsey Smith, of Salem; mother, Diane Robinson, of Mitchell; siblings, Rita Kay Johnson, of Madisonville, Kentucky, Frankie Eugene Bachelor, of Oolitic; grandchildren, Isaiah Hart and Kaylee Allen.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bob Robinson, and brother, Larry Dale Bachelor.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Scott Hussaker officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Dovie Chastain – Bedford
Dovie Chastain, 91, of Bedford, passed away at 1:45 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2012 at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born August 21, 1921 in Martin County, she was the daughter of Woodson and Sara (Pipher) Hamilton. She married Carl Chastain on May 30, 1940 and he preceded her in death on November 17, 1992. She was a homemaker and attended Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanie Kirkman and husband Ross, of Greencastle and Delilah Hayes and husband John, of Springville; grandchildren, Holly Wiram and husband Shawn, Shelly Sheese and husband Jeff, Jeff Hayes and wife Joni and Kevin Hayes; great grandchildren, Karina Stitzle, Taylor Hayes, Hannah Hayes and Ronald Sheese; a sister, Irene Hill; sisters-in-law, Judy Hamilton and Virginia (Hamilton) Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Opal, Raymond, James, William, John, Roe and Gordon Hamilton; sisters, Della Piper, Mary Johnson Jones, Lillian Sipes and Maggie Hunt.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ken Bushey officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 1st and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday, at Day & Carter Mortuary.

Robert C. Williams – Bedford

Robert C. Williams, 76, of Bedford, passed away at 3 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, 28, 2012 at White River Lodge in Bedford.
Born June 24, 1937 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Clay O. and Marjorie (Anderson) Williams. He was a heavy equipment operator and production supervisor retiring in 1981. He married Janet S. Bradford on June 8, 1956 and she preceded him in death on December 6, 2004.
Survivors include three daughters, Belinda Sue Holt, of Mitchell, Shayne Marie Brown and husband James, of New Albany and Teresa Lynn Sanders and her husband Donnie, of Mitchell; two sisters, Mary Padgett and Shirley Brinegar, both of Bedford; grandchildren, Tim and Nathan Childers, Robert Holt, Jacob and Jordan Scalf, Mason and Makenzie Williams; 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a son, Clayton Arthur Williams, son-in-law Roy Holt.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Rodney Reynolds and Rev. Donnie Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Barbara June Brown – Mitchell
Barbara June Brown, 79, of Mitchell, passed away at 5:47 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012, at her residence.
Born July 22, 1933, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Bertram and Hazel (Winkler) Brim. Barbara retired from Stone City Products and was a graduate of Mitchell High School in 1951. She was a member of the Orleans Church of the Nazarene and past president and treasurer of the Order of Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Bertram Brown and wife Laverne, of Kissimmee, FL., Roger Brown, of Live Oak, FL, Bonita Marshall and husband Hank, of Nashville, Myrna Jean Brown, of Mitchell, Robert Brown, Jr., of Mitchell, Teresa Jones, of Texas, Larry Ellis Brown and wife Stacey, of Orleans; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; siblings, Elaine Rose Walt, of Mitchell, Margaret Ann and husband Jim Free, of New Albany, Lennie Ross and wife Kitty Brim, of Indianapolis
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Virginia Lee Jones, Emma Sue Bess, and infant Betty JoAnn Brim; and grandson, Josh Brown.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, at the Orleans Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Jerry Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Christian Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center and from 9 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the church.
