The following obituaries were received for Monday –


Joseph Randolph Clark – Bedford
Joseph Randolph Clark, 84, of Bedford, passed away at 9:08 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at I.U. Bloomington Hospital.
Born September 9, 1927 in Orange County he was the son of John and Mary B. (Cobb) Clark. He married Vivia Kern on December 24, 1949 and she preceded him in death on January 29, 1999. He retired from administrative service with Indiana University and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. He was a member of the Gillen Post 33 American Legion where he was past commander, the Eagles Lodge 654, Moose Lodge 1089, AmVets and the Elks Lodge 826 where he had served as Exalted Ruler.
Survivors include, two daughters, Pamela Clark Owens, of Bloomington and Julie Clark Young, of Virginia; two sons, Joseph A. Clark, of Greene County, Terry R. Clark, of Zionsville; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Dininger, of Sullivan; three brothers, Clarence, Marvin, and James E. Clark, all of Bedford; several nieces and nephews and his long-time companion, Phyllis Prince.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Gerald, John H. and Lester Clark; a sister, Edith Benge and a granddaughter, Shelby Huck.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.

Michael David Allen – Bedford

Michael David Allen, 69, of Bedford, passed away at4:25 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 at his home.
Born November 26, 1943, in Bedford, he was the son of Walter L. and Alama E. (Henson) Allen. He was self-employed in electronics and was a member of the National Guard. He graduated from Bedford High School with the class of 1961, was a member of New Hope Church and B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge 826.
Survivors include his companion, Linda Fann, of Bedford; one son Mike Allen and wife Aubrey, of Indianapolis; two daughters, Keari and husband Scott Troutman, of Carmel and Kartina and husband Aaron Fulling, of Palestine; 10 grandchildren, Jessica B. Troutman, Hannah T. Troutman, Maggie Troutman, Lillian N. Troutman, Colton D. Allen, Chloe D. Allen, Cullen T. Allen, Cory M. Allen, Alexandra N. Fulling and Dannika B. Fulling; one great granddaughter, Caylin M. Dulworth; two brothers, Walter Allen Jr. and wife Ruth, of Mitchell, Jerry Allen and wife Susie, of Madison; one sister, Barbara and husband Allen Fish, of Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Chesney K. Allen and one sister-in-law, Mickie Allen.
A Memorial Service for Michael will be held at the New Hope Church on June 9th at 2 p.m. The family will received friends from noon until the service at 2 p.m. Ferguson-Lee is entrusted with arrangements.

Claude Allison Rayhill – Mitchell
Claude Allison Rayhill, 86, of Mitchell, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2012, at Hospice House IU Health Bloomington.
Born November 30, 1925, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Herschel and Ida (Dye) Rayhill. His first marriage was to Agatha McPherson October 28, 1944. He married Shirley Ann (Higgs) Haley April 3, 1970, and she preceded him in death in March 13, 2005.
He was a Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Army, and served in Okinawa during World War II. Claude was a member of American Legion Post No. 250. He retired from GM Powertrain with 18 years of service, was a graduate of Mitchell High School in 1944, and a member of the Living Waters Church of God.
Survivors include his children, Terry Rayhill, of Mitchell, Jerry Rayhill, of Bedford, Claude Rayhill Jr. and wife Jolene, of Mitchell, Jennifer Carter, of Elkton, Kentucky, Chad Rayhill and wife Kristi, of Mitchell; stepchildren, Rick Haley, of Mitchell, Debra Victor, of Naples, Florida, Jeff Haley, of Mitchell, Michelle and husband Larry Magruder, of Whiteland; companion, Betty Rainey, of Mitchell; 19 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; brothers, Gary Rayhill and wife Diane, of Mitchell, Ernie Rayhill and wife JoAnn, of Bakersfield, California, Larry Rayhill, of Elkart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Sue West; and brothers, Virgil and Charles Rayhill; and grandson, Ronald Paul “RJ” Victor II in 1999.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. Dwight Dunbar officiating. Entombment will be at Cresthaven Memory Gardens with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
