The following obituaries were received for Tuesday –


Carol J. York – Westport
Carol J. York, 66, of Westport, passed away at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the Hospice In-Patient Center in Columbus.
Born December 11, 1945 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Charles Roy and Norma Jean (Brock) Webb. She married John W. York on August 1, 1964 and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2005. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Ronnie York, of Orleans, Billy York and wife Tammy, of Bedford, Jeff York, of Westport; seven grandchildren, Jordan and wife Chelsea Beyers, Anglea Beyers, Waylon Hedge, Daniel York, Jimmy York, Jeremy York and Chlois York; several great great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Rigby and Donna Colson, both of Greensburg, Anna Jo Peters, of Westport and one brother, Jay Webb, of Greensburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Billy and Le Roy Webb; two sisters, Linda Webb and Brenda York; one granddaughter, Heather Rose York.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16th at the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Ada Lorene “Jackie” Griffin
Ada Lorene “Jackie” Griffin, 93, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Garden Villa.
Born May 29, 1918 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Clarence Jackson and Bessie King Covington. She married George Griffin and he preceded her in death. She was a beautician and a member of the Faith Mission Church and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles Jackson, of Flora, TX. and Kenneth Jackson and wife Penny, of Leighton, AL.; two sisters, Dorval Tincher and Viola Medlock and husband John, all of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Crystal Woolery Yeager – Greenwood

Crystal Woolery Yeager, 83, of Greenwood, passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Kindred Hospital South in Greenwood.
Born March 16, 1929 in Morgantown, she was the daughter of Herbert and Hazel (Thompson) Wayman. She was a surgical tech at Dunn Memorial Hospital and also a hair dresser. She first married Dr. Richard Woolery and he preceded her in death. She later married Richard Yaeger and he also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two son, Brad Menaugh and wife Janice, of Bedford, Bruce Menaugh, of Columbus, TN; grandchildren, Brice Menaugh, Dr. Brooke Menaugh-Adams and husband Josh, Brent Menaugh and Mandy Menaugh; great grandchildren, Anna, Carson and Myla Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, Louis Menaugh, Richard Woolery, Richard Yaeger and grandson, Troy Menaugh.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 19th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Josh Adams officiating. Private burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, May 19th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the First Assembly of God, Speed the Light Missions.
