The following obituaries were received for Monday –


Gerald E. Todd – Heltonville
Gerald E. Todd, 66, of Heltonville, died at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born Aug. 11, 1945, in Heltonville, he was the son of Logan and Izolla (Hawkins) Todd. He married Mary Ann Stigall on Aug. 26, 1966, and she survives.
He retired as a sawyer from Midland Cut Stone. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Christian Church and enjoyed bowling, mushroom hunting, basketball and spending time with the grandkids. He was a stock car driver from 1969 to 2010 at Brownstown and Bloomington. He was named rookie of the year in 1969, driver of the year in 1971 and sportsman of the year in 2008 at Bloomington Speedway.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, of Heltonville; two daughters, Darnell Manley of Mooresville, N.C. and Mechell Layne of Heltonville; a son, Travis Todd of Heltonville; grandchildren, Austin Todd, Grady Butler, Peyton Layne and Logan Manley; brothers, Otis Todd (JoAnne) of Nashville, Wayne Todd (Cheryl) of Greenville, S.C., Marion Todd (Alice) of Heltonville, Alfred Todd (Phyllis) of Greencastle, and Elmer Todd (Susan) of Springville; and sisters, Oneta Smith of Heltonville and Sharon Arthur of Smithville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Aim’ee Todd; three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Jeff Hudelson and Fred Barger officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilgal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Association.

Ruby Davis – Bedford
Ruby Davis, 80, of Bedford, passed away at 9 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012 at IU Health Bedford.
Born November 8, 1931 in Richmond, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Jerry and Eura (Oller) Cole. She married John W. Davis in 1950 and he preceded her in death on February 15, 1960.
She was a homemaker and a retired babysitter for over 40 years.
Survivors include two sons, Roger and wife Julie Davis, of Hinesville, GA., John and wife Cindee Davis, of Bedford; two daughters, Carolyn and husband Richard Box, of Bedford, Linda and husband John Stotts, of Williams; two brothers, Hubert and wife Joan Cole, Herbert and wife Ella Cole, four sisters, Lucy Mae Webster, Mary Neal Branum, Lucille Simpson and Elizabeth Moman; six grandchildren, Mathew Evans, Alicia (Evans) Simmerman, Jonathon Evans, Jayden (Davis) Wilson, Steven Davis and Chrystal Davis; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Harvey Cole and Monroe Cole, one grandson Kyle Davis; four brother-in-laws and four sister-in-laws, two nephews, Rodney Webster and Herbie Cole.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Clarence Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to defray funeral expenses.
